Abstract: With the development of Internet of Things (IoT), there have been more and more services and applications deployed in physical spaces and information systems. Massive number of situation-aware sensors and devices are embedded in IoT environments, which produce huge amounts of data continuously for the IoT systems and platforms. Processing these data stream generated by the IoT networks with different patterns has raised new challenges for the real-time performance of intrusion detection system (IDS) in IoT environments, which has to react quickly to the hacking attacks and malicious activities to IoT. In recent years, Complex Event Processing (CEP) technology provides new solutions in the field of complex pattern identifications and real-time data processing, which can be used to improve the performance of traditional IDS in IoT environments. IDS integrated with CEP can be used to deal with patterns among events and process large volumes of messages with low latency. In this paper we proposed an event-processing IDS architecture in IoT environments on the basis of security requirements analysis for IDS. Then the implementation details for real-time event processing are also proposed, which is developed by Esper, a CEP engine for complex event processing and event series analysis.

Abstract: Accuracy of the global positioning system (GPS) cannot meet the demand of indoor service. To address this issue, a radio frequency (RF) based system named RADAR for locating and tracking users inside buildings is presented, using fingerprint architecture. However, the traditional system is still sensitive to multipath and body movement. Furthermore, it costs much computing time. In this paper, we propose a fingerprint algorithm based on fuzzy c-means clustering. It uses clustering to reduce the computing time. We have evaluated the system in underground parking area. The results show that the technique reduces the computing time below a reasonable degree and enhances the accuracy of previous system slightly.

Abstract: With the rapid development of economy and the improvement of city modernization level, traffic congestion and parking have become serious social problems due to the explosive growth of the per capita amount of vehicle. So this paper put forward the design and implementation of smart parking system trying to solve the parking problem. The bottom part of this system is composed of ZigBee network which sent pressure information to PC through a coordinator and then update database. The application layer can quickly get the parking information through the Internet, and use advantages of Webservice to gather all the scattered parking information to bring convenience to the people who want to get a parking position.

Currently, security has been regarded as one of the greatest problems in the development of Cloud Computing. Abstract: In order to improve the security of steganography, this paper studied image steganography combined with pre-processing of DES encryption. When transmitting the secret information, firstly, encrypt the information intended to hide by DES encryption is encrypted, and then is written in the image through the LSB steganography. Encryption algorithm improves the lowest matching performance between the image and the secret information by changing the statistical characteristics of the secret information to enhance the anti-detection of the image steganography. The experimental results showed that the anti-detection robustness of image steganography combined with pre-processing of DES encryption is found much better than the way using LSB steganography algorithms directly.

In this paper, in view of the features of modern agriculture and farm produce logistics, a SCOR model (Supply-Chain Operations Reference-model) of agricultural products based on the Internet of things has been put forward through the improvement of the logistics model of traditional agricultural products. The advantages of this model have also been analyzed.

Abstract: City is a complicated system with several kinds of lifeline infrastructure such as water, electricity, and gas system as the basic element. The safety of city lifeline systems has characteristics of complex network, multiple areas, numerous operation parameters, and chain reaction. The Internet of Things technology used in monitoring city lifeline can effectively help people to acquire the concerned data that can be used to analyze the operation safety status, and even respond to disasters. This paper studies the general architecture of monitoring typical lifeline systems, identifies the key parameters and proposed the systematic safety analysis methodologies.

Abstract: It is laboring and tedious to measure plant's leaf area. For this problem, a novel approach based on computer vision was proposed for measuring leaf area. Firstly, plant leaves image were captured by image scanner and transformed to HSI color space. Secondly, combining with saturation, leaves were segmented from background with Otsu approach based on Hue information. Then, morphological filtering was performed to eliminate most noises. After that, blob analysis was used to fill the holes in the leaves and extract the leaves to measure area from original image. Experiments showed that the proposed approach had better segmentation result than the indices-based ones. Moreover, the proposed approach was proofed to be fast and efficient to measuring leaf area comparing with leaf area meter.

Abstract: This paper introduces the structure, relation components and operational principle of intelligent Start-Stop. According to a lot of test verification, the traditional car and the car that has been equipped intelligent Start-Stop system are compared, the final results show that the car has equipped intelligent Start-Stop that can improve fuel consumption and reduce part of emission, compare to the traditional car. And downtime optimization is another important factor to get lower fuel consumption.

Abstract: Along with the rapid growth of display devices with different aspect ratios and resolutions, image retargeting has become a hot topic in image processing fields. Traditional methods such as scaling and cropping often cannot produce satisfactory results because they do not consider the content of the image. Seam carving, one of the most popular contentaware retargeting technologies, attracts a lot of researchers' attention owing to its effectiveness and flexibility. In this paper, we present the first comprehensive study of image retargeting technology based on seam carving method. We survey recent developments in image retargeting based on seam carving and categorize these algorithms. We also list some trends in image retargeting for the future research and intend this study to be useful to researchers interested in image retargeting.

Abstract: Mechanical seals operates by a thin fluid film to separate the pair of seal faces. The thickness of this film must be optimized for preventing the friction of two end faces and minimizing the leakage. In this study, the fluid film is measured by eddy current and acoustic emission techniques, and the data of eddy current are used to direct the processing of acoustic emission signal. To decrease the noise, wavelet packet and kernel principal component analysis are used to extract the data features. Then cascaded decision is presented to improve the recognition rate of artificial neural network, by which the film thickness can be estimated.

Abstract: Recently, the authentication schemes based on password have been used widely in network environment. It provides a convenient way for users to authenticate him/her to servers. Previously, Xu et al. proposed an improved smart card based password authentication scheme with provable security. Unfortunately, Song pointed out their scheme cannot withstand impersonation attacks. Moreover, Song proposed two improved schemes to solve it, but his first scheme still cannot withstand impersonation attack. This paper in addition to analyze the weakness of Song's scheme, improved scheme preserving identity privacy also proposes.

Abstract: It is more intuitive and clear to analyze and judge the pipeline accident with completely inversion and prediction. This paper studies accidents inversion and analysis methods for the oil and gas pipeline SCADA system. First, we save log data and real-time data section in the database and creating event scenes. Then, we use inversion with the accident realtime data section, log data and the timeline playback data. We also use an accident analysis method based on Apriori - a association make rules mining algorithm with specified features, to a preliminary diagnosis for the alarms, accidents, equipment new breakdowns, etc. In the industry experiment, this method is proved to be effective to help the dispatcher locate reason the accident spot and provide decision support for the analysis.

Abstract: Topic-based publish/subscribe system is widely used in IoT (Internet of Things), but many existing systems cannot work efficiently and flexibly as they ignore the importance of practical factors, such as topic relationship, operating limits and so on. In view of this, we are devoted to improve real-time and reliability of topic-based publish/ subscribe system during forwarding. To improve the real-time performance, we use tree-structure topic clusters to save memory and make the system more flexible. Establishing a policy repository to store policy items and referring to it before transmitting messages can improve the expansibility of system since publishers may make policies for topics they have published to limit subscribers' operations. In order to improve forwarding reliability, we use feedback mechanism to adjust the transmission speed and keep the proportion of messages with different priorities.

Abstract: The fast and accurate customer classifier is the core of Web marketing. But the common customer classifier doesn't fit for the customer classification in Web marketing, because it has certain industry limitation. In this paper, a decision tree classifier based on information entropy is proposed. First of all, the classification index system for Web marketing is established by integrating several common-used classification index strategies. After that, the information gain of each classification index is calculated by using information entropy. Finally, the decision tree is established according to the information gain of classification index, and the corresponding customer classification rule is generated. To test this method, the real e-commerce site data is divided into two parts. One is used to establish the customer classification decision tree. The other is used to test. The experiment result shows that the forecast accuracy of decision tree is about 97%, which meets the requirement of the actual classification work.

Abstract: Security Patrol Robot was used to inspect the abnormal situation in the alert zone. To detect the hanging obstacles, a stereo sensing system was designed, which was composed of a full range of ultrasonic sensors with three-dimensional layout. Using obstacle distribution data acquired in this system, the improved BCM algorithm was proposed to guide robot to avoid obstacles. In the algorithm, the ranging information acquired by the three layers' sensors was mapped into the horizontal plane. And then with the constraints from the kinematics and dynamics of robot, overlapping simplified beams were constructed from the two dimensional distribution of obstacles. After the optimization beam searching, the corresponding angular velocity and the line speed were calculated and put out to control the robot to avoid vehicles and pedestrians on the road. Finally, in the experiments of campus environment, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm was demonstrated.

Abstract: WIFI location service has become an attractive research filed for wisdom city nowadays. However, the precision is a challenging problem faced by researchers. In this paper, a new algorithm for indoor localization using WLAN signal strengths is proposed. The objective of the work was to design a simple and efficient indoor positioning algorithm with good accuracy. The proposed algorithm uses the fingerprinting technique as a pre-processing step. The second step is the application of a new model, named Distance Relative Attenuation Model, which both considers the nonlinear attenuation and the random noise from environment, to improve the veracity. The results show that the proposed algorithm has better accuracy compared with basic fingerprinting technique and basic Distance Attenuation Model. Thus, it is a simple and effective indoor positioning scheme.

From the aspects such as system structure, database, software and hardware platform for the system has been carried on the overall design and planning. The system includes five subsystems: basic information management subsystem of city, thematic map plotting subsystem, earthquake disaster prediction subsystem, aid decision making, commanding and dispatching subsystem and tracing and monitoring subsystem of spot. The functions and structures of the subsystems are discussed in the paper.

Abstract: This paper studies the feature based face detection algorithm. Based on the principal component analysis, feature vector space is extracted to construct weak classifier. Combined with Adaboost algorithm to construct the strong classifier, an algorithm for face detection is presented. The performance of the algorithm is tested based on MIT+CMU face database, the results show that the algorithm in the running time and detection accuracy is significantly better than the algorithm based on neural network and support vector machine algorithm.

Abstract: Based on different spatial scale data, and relied on GIS spatial visualization technology, this paper discusses the agglomeration and equilibrium evolution characteristics, regional gaps and scale characteristics of regional development pattern in China during the first decade in 21st century. The study shows that there is strong regularity in spatial change process between China's population and economy, mainly reflected by the trend of aggregated distribution in the coastal, riverside and other major spatial development axis. The east-west regional gap is still the main development gap. Urban-rural income gap and regional development gap have strong spatial coupling, and spatial distribution of population and economic dislocation is the main factor leading regional gaps.

Abstract: General sun-graphs are applied to an actual ring network. Each node in the network represents a server, which is equivalent to that the graph is connected by nodes represented as servers. One can use labellings to distinguish nodes and edges between nodes in order to find some fast algorithms to imitate some effective transmissions and communications in information networks. We propose method for constructing scale-free small-world network models, also, building sun-like network models, motivated from some ring real-networks, and show that sun-like network models have can be strictly distinguished by felicitous labellings.

Abstract: We have proposed a tunneling field-effect transistor (TFET) having a GaAs/InGaAs heterojunction structure for radio frequency (RF) application. The GaAs/InGaAs heterojunction TFETs are investigated in terms of DC and RF characteristics by using the device simulation technology. The proposed TFET showed excellent subthreshold swing (S) and on/off current ratio as low standby power (LSTP) devices. Moreover, the superb RF performances of proposed TFET were obtained by designing drain doping (DDrain). It was confirmed that the GaAs/InGaAs heterojunction TFET is suitable for RF applications.

Abstract: The surface of damaged steel rail not only affects the comfort of train, but also influences train's safety. Traditional welding methods are limited to applications for their low automatic degree, and the quality can not be guaranteed as well. So the newly technology of laser welding with filler wire to repair the damaged steel rail was used in this study. In order to set a process of laser welding with filler wire and tempering treatment technology after laser overlaying welding applied to U71Mn rail, laser repairing experiments with front-feeding were performed on the rail firstly. Then after the molding process was optimized by microstructure and micro-hardness, the microstructure properties of overlaying welding of rail were tested. The results indicated that laser welding with filler wire welding has good property with the process parameters after optimized, and the structure properties of overlaying layer were improved by using tempering heat treatment between the laser welding repairs. Most of martensite in laser overlaying layer was eliminated and the micro-hardness of weld seam and the hardness of heat affected zone were decreased after medium tempering heat treatment at 400°C. The microstructure properties of the overlay layer met the Railways' repair welding standard.

Abstract: While the society of PRC has drawn near to an aging society, more and more people find it difficult to have enough time and energy to look after their aged parents because of the increasingly heavy living burden and social pressures so that rising concerns are made over the health and security of the aged Chinese throughout the whole society. With the booming of so-called "smart cities" in advanced countries, in PRC, experts tend to realize the necessity to construct more "smart senior citizens' communities", which, based on intelligent theory and information technology, proves to be more convenient, more comfortable, more smart, more sustainable and more suitable to the trend of social development as a brand new "green" practice of modern communities to support the aged. In this thesis, important concepts corresponding to IT-based smart senior citizens' communities are introduced, a new type of management system for smart senior citizens' community service is constructed and the important social significance of constructing the IT-based smart senior citizens' communities is explored.

Abstract: In the past years, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), for example, Adaptive Cruise Control system (ACC), Emergency Brake Assist system (AEB) etc, have been developed to improve vehicle control and driving safety. With such systems, traffic accidents caused by driver inattention and lack of driving experiences could be avoid or reduced. At last, the consequences of the accidents can be lowered. Among these systems, ACC system has being developed to adaptive ego-vehicle velocity and relative distance between ego-vehicle and target obstacle (for example the preceding vehicle) to traffic situations in order to avoid the ego-vehicle in dangerous situations, at the same time, to improve driving comfort. To develop and optimize the ACC system for driving behavior and traffic situations in China, a development platform based on the home-developed branding Dongfeng Fengshen A60 has been built. In this platform, the ACC function has been realized by driving torque and braking force control with sensing the traffic environment by long-range radar. The ACC system control algorithm has been implemented on the basis of the rapid prototype system ETAS and the development environment Matlab/Simulink. A huge of tests in the test track and public road have been done by using many typical ACC usecases (driving maneuver). The analyses of test data show that the ACC system works well both on the test track and public road.

Abstract: In this paper, we introduce voltage-frequency island (VFI) -based design paradigm into three dimensional (3-D) network-on-chip (NoC) to optimize system energy. The prominent challenges to VFI-based 3-D NoC designs are the exacerbated thermal issues. Moreover, targeting hard platform with pre-designed structure restrains the optimization space of the prior work. In view of the above limitations, we propose a VFI-aware synthesis framework to minimize system energy and keep thermal balancing for the firm 3-D NoC platform where designers have the freedom to make mapping decisions on computation components. Besides task scheduling and voltage scaling for computation energy minimization, core stacking and task migrating algorithm are proposed to optimize communication energy and balance powers across the core stacks. By treating each core stack as a unity, VFI aware 3-D NoC mapping problem can be simplified as the mapping issue on 2-D. Experimental results demonstrate that on average our framework can achieve an energy reduction of 18.6% over the prior thermal balancing algorithm. Moreover, on average 5.7 °C reduction in peak temperature is achieved by our framework, compared with the state-of-art energy optimization scheme.

Abstract: Based on 557 valid questionnaires of satisfaction evaluation of human settlement in the metropolitan periphery area of Beijing, this paper analyzed the elemental characteristics and influence factors of human settlement quality by using multivariate statistical analysis and structural equation model. The result shows that: 1) the residents in Beijing suburb are generally satisfied with the human settlement quality (satisfaction rate is 66.2%), but the quality of public service and follow-up management of facilities are exceedingly urgent to be improved and the imbalance of revenue and expenditure of rural households leads to the continuous increase of living pressure. 2) These factors such as social atmosphere, visage of village, entertainments, living costs, fundamental public service and production costs have significant effects on human settlement quality in metropolitan periphery area and social atmosphere is the core one of them.
