Abstract: Real-time bidding (RTB) is an emerging and promising business model for online computational advertising in the age of big data. Based on analysis of massive amounts of Cookie data generated by Internet users, RTB advertising has the potential of identifying in real-time the characteristic and interest of the target audience in each ad impression, automatically delivering best-matched ads, and optimizing their prices via auction-based programmatic buying scheme. RTB has significantly changed online advertising, evolving from the traditional pattern of "media buying" and "ad-slot buying" to "targetaudience buying", and is expected to be the standard business model for online advertising in the future. In this paper, we discussed the current market practice of RTB advertising, presented the key roles and typical business processes in RTB markets, and summarized the current research progresses in the existing literature. The aim of this paper is to provide useful reference and guidance for future works.

Abstract: This paper develops an analytical model that explores how important supply chain parameters affect the cost savings to be realized from collaborative initiatives such as vendor-managed inventory (VMI). Results from the model show that the optimal replenishment frequency with VMI is greater than that without VMI, but the optimal shortage quantity and the optimal order quantity for buyer with VMI is smaller than those for buyer without VMI. Results also show that under a certain condition, the total inventory cost with VMI is lower than that without VMI and these benefits are disproportionally distributed between buyers and suppliers.

Abstract: The potential benefit of mobile and wireless information technology for healthcare service delivery, improving patient safety and reducing cost is increasingly recognized and emphasized. To contributing to the knowledge about critical factors determining the success of mobile health (m-Health) solutions, this study researched the driving force for the advancement of m-health solutions. The current advancement of m-health was reviewed. The challenges for developing and deploying m-health applications were addressed. The paper concluded in suggesting the most critical factor for the success of m-health. The method used for the study was literature research, market scan and analysis.

Abstract: Because of the rising energy prices and environmental concerns, the calculation of energy-optimal reference trajectories for trains is significant for energy saving. On the other hand, with the development automatic train operation (ATO), the optimal trajectory planning is significant to the performance of train operation. In this paper, we present an integrated survey of this field. First, a nonlinear continuous-time train model and a continuous-space model of train operations are described, after which the optimal trajectory planning problem is formulated based on these two models. The various approaches in the literature to calculate the reference trajectory are reviewed and categorized into two groups: analytical solutions and numerical optimization. Finally, a short discussion of some open topics in the field of optimal trajectory planning for train operations are given.

Abstract: This paper addresses the batch scheduling problem of unrelated parallel machines attempting to minimize the total weighted tardiness. Identical or similar jobs are typically processed in batches to decrease setup and/or processing times. Local dispatching rules such as the earliest weighted due date, the shortest weighted processing time, and the earliest weighted due date with a process utilization spread are tailored to the batch scheduling requirements. Based on the features of batch scheduling, a two-level batch scheduling framework is suggested. Existing heuristics, which show excellent performance in terms of total weighted tardiness for the single machine scheduling, such as the modified earliest due date rule and the modified cost over time rule, are extended for the problem. The simulated annealing algorithm as a meta-heuristic is also presented to obtain near optimal solutions. The proposed heuristics are compared through computational experiments with data from the dicing process of a compound semiconductor manufacturing facility
