TL;DR: An aspect oriented scheme that analyses the textual reviews of a movie and assign it a sentiment label on each aspect and produces a more accurate and focused sentiment profile than the simple document-level sentiment analysis.
Abstract: This paper presents our experimental work on a new kind of domain specific feature-based heuristic for aspect-level sentiment analysis of movie reviews. We have devised an aspect oriented scheme that analyses the textual reviews of a movie and assign it a sentiment label on each aspect. The scores on each aspect from multiple reviews are then aggregated and a net sentiment profile of the movie is generated on all parameters. We have used a SentiWordNet based scheme with two different linguistic feature selections comprising of adjectives, adverbs and verbs and n-gram feature extraction. We have also used our SentiWordNet scheme to compute the document-level sentiment for each movie reviewed and compared the results with results obtained using Alchemy API. The sentiment profile of a movie is also compared with the document-level sentiment result. The results obtained show that our scheme produces a more accurate and focused sentiment profile than the simple document-level sentiment analysis.

TL;DR: The design of a simple low cost wireless GSM energy meter and its associated web interface is presented, for automating billing and managing the collected data globally.
Abstract: The technology of e-metering (Electronic Metering) has gone through rapid technological advancements and there is increased demand for a reliable and efficient Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) system. This paper presents the design of a simple low cost wireless GSM energy meter and its associated web interface, for automating billing and managing the collected data globally. The proposed system replaces traditional meter reading methods and enables remote access of existing energy meter by the energy provider. Also they can monitor the meter readings regularly without the person visiting each house. A GSM based wireless communication module is integrated with electronic energy meter of each entity to have remote access over the usage of electricity. A PC with a GSM receiver at the other end, which contains the database acts as the billing point. Live meter reading from the GSM enabled energy meter is sent back to this billing point periodically and these details are updated in a central database. A new interactive, user friendly graphical user interface is developed using Microsoft visual studio .NET framework and C#. With proper authentication, users can access the developed web page details from anywhere in the world. The complete monthly usage and due bill is messaged back to the customer after processing these data.

TL;DR: A new scheme consist of a smart city framework that transmit information about traffic conditions that will help the driver to take appropriate decisions is introduced, which consists of a warning message module composed of Intelligent Traffic Lights (ITLs) which provides information to the driver about current traffic conditions.
Abstract: The total number of vehicles in the world has experienced a remarkable growth, increasing traffic density which results in more and more accidents. Therefore the manufactures, researchers and government is shifting focus towards improving the on road safety rather than improving the quality of the roads. The good development in the wireless technologies emerged various new type of networks, such as Vehicular Ad Hoc Network (VANET), which provides communication between vehicles themselves and between vehicles and road side units. Various new concepts such as smart cities and living labs [1] are introduced in the recent years where VANETs plays an important role. A survey of various Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) and various routing protocols with respect to our proposed scheme is described in this paper. It also introduces a new scheme consist of a smart city framework that transmit information about traffic conditions that will help the driver to take appropriate decisions. It consists of a warning message module composed of Intelligent Traffic Lights (ITLs) which provides information to the driver about current traffic conditions.

TL;DR: A novel architecture to perform high speed multiplication using ancient Vedic maths techniques and a new high speed approach utilizing 4:2 compressors and novel 7:1 compressors for addition has been incorporated in the same and has been explored.
Abstract: With the advent of new technology in the fields of VLSI and communication, there is also an ever growing demand for high speed processing and low area design. It is also a well known fact that the multiplier unit forms an integral part of processor design. Due to this regard, high speed multiplier architectures become the need of the day. In this paper, we introduce a novel architecture to perform high speed multiplication using ancient Vedic maths techniques. A new high speed approach utilizing 4:2 compressors and novel 7:2 compressors for addition has also been incorporated in the same and has been explored. Upon comparison, the compressor based multiplier introduced in this paper, is almost two times faster than the popular methods of multiplication. With regards to area, a 1% reduction is seen. The design and experiments were carried out on a Xilinx Spartan 3e series of FPGA and the timing and area of the design, on the same have been calculated.

TL;DR: This novel system architecture constituted by distributed sensor nodes and a base station using wireless sensor network technology has advantages such as no carbon emission, low power consumption, more flexible to deploy at remote site and so on.
Abstract: The idea of `Underwater Wireless Sensor Network' (UWSN) is the basic building block of a water quality monitoring using wireless sensor network (WSN) technology powered by solar panel. To monitor water quality over different sites as a real-time application, an excellent system architecture constituted by distributed sensor nodes and a base station is suggested. The nodes and base station are connected using WSN technology like Zigbee. Design and implementation of a prototype model using one node powered by solar cell and WSN technology is the challenging work. Data collected by various sensors at the node side such as pH, turbidity and oxygen level is sent via WSN to the base station. Data collected from the remote site can be displayed in visual format as well as it can be analyzed using different simulation tools at base station. This novel system has advantages such as no carbon emission, low power consumption, more flexible to deploy at remote site and so on.
