In this paper short term power forecast of wind and solar power is proposed to evaluate the available output power of each production component. In this model, lead acid batteries used in proposed hybrid power system based on wind-solar power system. So, before the predicting of power output, a simple mathematical approach to simulate the lead–acid battery behaviors in stand-alone hybrid wind-solar power generation systems will be introduced. Then, the proposed forecast problem will be evaluated which is taken as constraint status through state of charge (SOC) of the batteries. The proposed forecast model includes a feature selection filter and hybrid forecast engine based on neural network (NN) and an intelligent evolutionary algorithm. This method not only could maintain the SOC of batteries in suitable range, but also could decrease the on-or-off switching number of wind turbines and PV modules. Effectiveness of the proposed method has been applied over real world engineering data. Obtained numerical analysis, demonstrate the validity of proposed method. read more read less

Cloud Computing (CC) and the Internet of Things (IoT) have emerged as new platforms in the ICT revolution of the twenty-first century. The adoption of the CloudIoT paradigm in the healthcare field can bring several opportunities to medical IT, and experts believe that it can significantly improve healthcare services and contribute to its continuous and systematic innovation. This paper presents a comprehensive review of the current literature on integration of CC and IoT to solving various problems in healthcare applications such as smart hospitals, medicine control, and remote medical services. Also, a brief introduction to cloud computing and internet of things with an application to health care is given. This paper presents a new concept of the integration of CC and IoT for healthcare applications, which is what we; call the CloudIoT-Health paradigm. The term CloudIoT-Health and some key integration issues are presented in this paper to offer a practical vision to integrate current components of CC and the IoT in healthcare applications. Also, this paper aims to present the state of the art and gap analysis of different levels of integration components, analyzing different existing proposals in CloudIoT-Health systems. Finally, related researches of CC and IoT integration for healthcare systems have been reviewed. This paper presents a digital twin-driven manufacturing cyber-physical system (MCPS) for parallel controlling of smart workshop under mass individualization paradigm. By establishing cyber-physical connection via decentralized digital twin models, various manufacturing resources can be formed as dynamic autonomous system to co-create personalized products. Clarification on the MCPS concept, characteristics, architecture, configuration, operating mechanism and key enabling technologies are elaborated, respectively. A demonstrative implementation of the digital twin-driven parallel controlling of board-type product smart manufacturing workshop is also presented. Ambient assisted living (AAL) is focused on providing assistance to people primarily in their natural environment. Over the past decade, the AAL domain has evolved at a fast pace in various directions. The stakeholders of AAL are not only limited to patients, but also include their relatives, social services, health workers, ... Ambient assisted living (AAL) is focused on providing assistance to people primarily in their natural environment. Over the past decade, the AAL domain has evolved at a fast pace in various directions. The stakeholders of AAL are not only limited to patients, but also include their relatives, social services, health workers, and care agencies. In fact, AAL aims at increasing the life quality of patients, their relatives and the health care providers with a holistic approach. This paper aims at providing a comprehensive overview of the AAL domain, presenting a systematic analysis of over 10 years of relevant literature focusing on the stakeholders’ needs, bridging the gap of existing reviews which focused on technologies. The findings of this review clearly show that until now the AAL domain neglects the view of the entire AAL ecosystem. Furthermore, the proposed solutions seem to be tailored more on the basis of the available existing technologies, rather than supporting the various stakeholders’ needs. Another major lack that this review is pointing out is a missing adequate evaluation of the various solutions. Finally, it seems that, as the domain of AAL is pretty new, it is still in its incubation phase. Thus, this review calls for moving the AAL domain to a more mature phase with respect to the research approaches. read more read less
