Abstract: It is as editor of Epilepsia and as a sincere admirer of William Lennox and of Frederic Gibbs, without whose achievements electroencephalography would not to-day have the place it merits in the service of epileptology, that I permit myself to contribute a few supplementary details on the role which I have been able to play in naming and in making known the syndrome of Lennox even though I was not the first to describe it.
