TL;DR: Seasonal variations in various biochemical constituents in the tissues of Ophicephalus punctatus showed that the fat content in the muscle was highest during November–January and lowest during June–October, and the liver contained more fat than the muscle and its seasonal cycle was marked by two well defined peaks.
Abstract: Seasonal variations in various biochemical constituents in the tissues of Ophicephalus punctatus showed that. the fat content in the muscle was highest during November–January and lowest during June–October. Liver contained more fat than the muscle and its seasonal cycle was marked by two well defined peaks. Changes in the ovarian fat were also well defined seasonally. The moisture content in all the tissues varied inversely with the fat. Protein values in different tissues did not show as much fluctuations as fat. In muscle, protein remained high throughout the year except in January. In liver and gonads very low protein values were recorded during the winter months. Seasonal changes in the ash content were not very well marked in any of the three tissues.

TL;DR: In this paper, the average level spacing for 19 cases at 24 keV was estimated using statistical theory of nuclear reaction, and an agreement between these two sets of values was found.
Abstract: Neutron-activation cross-sections have been measured for 19 cases at 24 keV, A Sb-Be photoneutron source was used for these measurements. The value of the average level spacingD has been estimated for these cases using statistical theory of nuclear reaction. These estimated values of average level spacing have been compared with the experimental values wherever they are known from low-energy resonance parameter data. An agreement between these two sets of values is found.

TL;DR: The genus Tylencholaimus de Man, 1876 is removed from the Dorylaimidae and placed in the Leptonchidae and a redescription is given of T. mirabilis, the type species, which is redescribed from topotypes.
Abstract: The genus Tylencholaimus de Man, 1876 is removed from the Dorylaimidae and placed in the Leptonchidae. Consequently the subfamily Tylencholaiminae Filipjev, 1934 is also transferred to Leptonchidae; it is considered synonymous with Xiphinemellinae Jairajpuri, 1964, and contains the genera Tylencholaimus, Botalium, Discomyctus, Xenonchium and Xiphinemella. The genus Enchodelus remains in the Dorylaimidae. Tylencholaimus mirabilis (Butschli, 1873), the type species of Tylencholaimus, is redescribed from topotypes; T. brevicaudatus (Tarjan, 1953) is considered identical with it. A neotype is designated and the male, unknown so far, is described. Eight new species are described. T. pusillus has the same shape of lips as T. minimus de Man, but is much smaller and there are no radial striae in the cuticle. T. congestus and T. savaryi are characterized by didelphic gonads and by a number of large cells surrounding the vagina; in T. congestus the lip region is offset by a shallow constriction, the inner papillae do not project and the tail is hemispheroid; in T. savaryi the lips are offset by a deep constriction, the inner papillae project markedly and the tail is convex-conoid. T. crassus is also didelphic, but much stouter than T. congestus and T. savaryi, and there are no large cells around the vagina. T. formosus and T. airolensis are prodelphic, the rudiment of the posterior gonad is large and serves as receptaculum seminis; in T. formosus the oesophagus is expanded behind the middle, the two parts being separated by a marked constriction; in T. airolensis the two parts of the oesophagus are equal in length and not separated by a constriction. In T. maritus the rudiment of the posterior female gonad is very small, the tail is hemispheroid and males are numerous. T. paradoxus has a very fine spear and minute sclerotized pieces near the oral opening. In addition, a redescription is given of T. stecki Steiner, 1914. T. similis jairajpuri, 1965 is synonymized with T. lepionchoides Loof, 1964; T. macrurus Siddiqi, 1964 may also be identical with this species. A few additional details of T. viduus Jairajpuri, 1965 are given. A key to the species is presented.

TL;DR: In this paper, the applicability of the Kramers-Kronig dispersion relation to the nuclear case is considered and it is found to be inappropriate for the case of nuclear power.
Abstract: Feshbach's dispersion relation for the generalized optical potential is used to obtain, in an approximate way, a dispersion relation for the equivalent local optical-midel potential. The dispersion relation is found to be fairly applicable to the phenomenological local potential. The applicability of the Kramers-Kronig dispersion relation to the nuclear case is considered and it is found to be inappropriate.

TL;DR: Three new species of Nothotylenchus viz., N. cylindricus n.
Abstract: Three new species of Nothotylenchus viz., N. cylindricus n. sp., N. allii n. sp., and N. hexaglyphus n. sp. are described from Indian soils. N. cylindricus is distinctive in possessing an elongate cylindroid basal oesophageal bulb, thin-walled, oval spermatheca with spheroidal sperms and longer than head-width spear, while N. allii is characterized by its pyriform basal oesophageal bulb, four incisures in the lateral field and bursa enveloping only 2/5 of the tail. Nothotylenchus hexaglyphus can be differentiated by its poorly knobbed spear, set off pyriform basal bulb, posterior vulva, short postvulval uterine sac and lateral field with six incisures. A key to the species of the genus Nothotylenchus is presented.

TL;DR: In this paper, a spectrophotometric method for the determination of osmium using ammonium thiocyanate was described, where a stable reddish brown colour with an absorption maximum at 440 nm was produced when Osmium tetroxide was heated for 30 min at a pH between 1 to 4 over a boiling water bath with excess reagent.
Abstract: A spectrophotometric method for the determination of osmium using ammonium thiocyanate is described. A stable reddish brown colour with an absorption maximum at 440 nm is produced when osmium tetroxide is heated for 30 min at a pH between 1 to 4 over a boiling water bath with excess reagent. The recommended concentration range is from 3 to 15 ppm of osmium in aqueous medium and from 0.6 to 1.5 ppm when the brown colour (which turns blue) is extracted into isoamyl alcohol. Errors are about ± 1.5%.

TL;DR: Tris-(tu)-Cu(I) iodide reacts with pyridine, 3-picoline and 2,2′-dipyridyl to form tetracoordinated complexes of the type [Cu(py)tu3]I and [cu(dipy)tu2]I respectively as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Tris-(tu)-Cu(I) iodide reacts with pyridine, 3-picoline and 2,2′-dipyridyl to form tetracoordinated complexes of the type [Cu(py)tu3]I. [Cu(3-pic)tu3]I and [Cu(dipy)tu2]I respectively. Infra red spectra give evidence for the coordination through nitrogen and sulphur in these complexes.
