TL;DR: Keeping environment and human health in mind the traditional larvicidal plants are effective way for the management of mosquitoes’ population in tropical countries.
Abstract: Background: Mosquito are vectors of many serious diseases and spread rapidly. The destruction of mosquitos larvae is comparatively convenient than adult mosquitos and nymphs. Most of the countries using chemical to kill the larvae however, the chemicals are hazardous to environments and many species of mosquitos have developed resistance against DDT other pyrethroid class insecticides. Therefore, traditional larvicidal plants are best alternatives. Methods: The present review includes the information on herbal larvicidal plants found in different parts of the world published in between the years 2011 to 2017. Results: A total of 108 species of flowering plants, algae and lichens covered. Out of 108 species, 46 are reported to exhibit mosquitocidal/larvicidal properties against A. aegyptii, 35 against Culex quinquifasciatus, 16 plant species against Anophelesstephensi, respectively. Conclusions: Keeping environment and human health in mind the traditional larvicidal plants are effective way for the management of mosquitoes’ population in tropical countries.

TL;DR: Cytotaxonomic studies in the genus Tolypella have been conducted for the first time from Indian subcontinent and a chromosome count of n=11 has been established in this taxon.
Abstract: Cytotaxonomic studies in the genus Tolypella (T. nidjca var. glomerata (Desv. in Lois.) Leonh. em. R. D. W.) have been conducted for the first time from Indian subcontinent and a chromosome count of n=11 has been established in this taxon. The hybridized origin of 11chromosome number and the concept of three basic chromosome numbers for this genus as suggested by Sawa (1974) have been upheld. The phylogenetic status of Tolypella has also been discussed in detail.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors established the rate of convergence of generalized integrated Baskakov operators and its Bezier variant for functions which have derivatives of bounded variation, for functions with bounded variation.
Abstract: Very recently Jain et al. [4] proposed generalized integrated Baskakov operators Vn,α(f, x), α > 0 and estimated some approximation properties in simultaneous approximation. In the present paper we establish the rate of convergence of these operators and its Bezier variant, for functions which have derivatives of bounded variation.

TL;DR: An abundance of acid phosphomonoesterase in various parts of the alimentary canal and various organs of the reproductive system is revealed and the excretory ducts show alkaline phosphomonoeterase activity only.
Abstract: Biochemical and histochemical studies have been made on non-specific acid and alkaline phosphomonoesterases of S. dentatus. The two forms of acid phosphomonoesterases have been found active at pH 4.0 and 6.0. The pH optima for the two forms of alkaline phosphomonoesterases lie at 8.0 and 10.0. Studies on the distribution of acid and alkaline phosphomonoesterases in various tissues have revealed an abundance of acid phosphomonoesterase in various parts of the alimentary canal and various organs of the reproductive system. The excretory ducts show alkaline phosphomonoesterase activity only.

TL;DR: In this article, thin layer chromatography of synthetic dyes has been performed on antimonic acid and on admixture of antimonic acids and silica gel in a mixed solvent system.
Abstract: Thin layer chromatography of synthetic dyes have been performed on antimonic acid and on admixture of antimonic acid and silica gel ‘G’ in a mixed solvent system i. e. Butanol: Acetic acid: water (25:5:10). The separation potential of antimonic acid and silica gel ‘G’ has been explored. Several important separations of closely related dyes have been achieved as a result of such studies.
