TL;DR: This work proposed a simple and powerful strategy, namely, coordination-driven in situ self-assembly, for the fabrication of MOF hybrid membranes that was confirmed to be feasible for the production of a stable membrane with greatly improved MOF-particle dispersion in and compatibility with the polymer, thus providing outstanding separation ability.
Abstract: Metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) have emerged as porous solids of a superior type for the fabrication of membranes. However, it is still challenging to prepare a uniformly dispersed robust MOF hybrid membrane. Herein, we propose a simple and powerful strategy, namely, coordination-driven in situ self-assembly, for the fabrication of MOF hybrid membranes. On the basis of the coordination interactions between metal ions and ligands and/or the functional groups of the organic polymer, this method was confirmed to be feasible for the production of a stable membrane with greatly improved MOF-particle dispersion in and compatibility with the polymer, thus providing outstanding separation ability. As an experimental proof of concept, a high-quality ZIF-8/PSS membrane was fabricated that showed excellent performance in the nanofiltration and separation of dyes from water.

TL;DR: In this paper, a novel strategy is developed to prepare binder-free and mechanically robust CoO/graphene electrodes, wherein homogenous and full coating of -Co(OH)(2) nanosheets on graphene, through a novel electrostatic induced spread growth method, plays a key role.
Abstract: Ultralong cycle life, high energy, and power density rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are crucial to the ever-increasing large-scale electric energy storage for renewable energy and sustainable road transport. However, the commercial graphite anode cannot perform this challenging task due to its low theoretical capacity and poor rate-capability performance. Metal oxides hold much higher capacity but still are plagued by low rate capability and serious capacity degradation. Here, a novel strategy is developed to prepare binder-free and mechanically robust CoO/graphene electrodes, wherein homogenous and full coating of -Co(OH)(2) nanosheets on graphene, through a novel electrostatic induced spread growth method, plays a key role. The combined advantages of large 2D surface and moderate inflexibility of the as-obtained -Co(OH)(2)/graphene hybrid enables its easy coating on Cu foil by a simple layer-by-layer stacking process. Devices made with these electrodes exhibit high rate capability over a temperature range from 0 to 55 degrees C and, most importantly, maintain excellent cycle stability up to 5000 cycles even at a high current density.

TL;DR: A blockchain based multi-WSN authentication scheme for IoT is proposed and the analysis of security and performance shows that the scheme has comprehensive security and better performance.
Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) equipment is usually in a harsh environment, and its security has always been a widely concerned issue. Node identity authentication is an important means to ensure its security. Traditional IoT identity authentication protocols usually rely on trusted third parties. However, many IoT environments do not allow such conditions, and are prone to single point failure. Blockchain technology with decentralization features provides a new solution for distributed IoT system. In this paper, a blockchain based multi-WSN authentication scheme for IoT is proposed. The nodes of IoT are divided into base stations, cluster head nodes and ordinary nodes according to their capability differences, which are formed to a hierarchical network. A blockchain network is constructed among different types of nodes to form a hybrid blockchain model, including local chain and public chain. In this hybrid model, nodes identity mutual authentication in various communication scenarios is realized, ordinary node identity authentication operation is accomplished by local blockchain, and cluster head node identity authentication are realized in public blockchain. The analysis of security and performance shows that the scheme has comprehensive security and better performance.

TL;DR: The synthesis and porosity of MOFs are first introduced by some representative examples that pertain to the field of food safety, and the application of MOF and MOF-based materials in food safety monitoring, food processing, covering preservation, sanitation, and packaging is overviewed.
Abstract: Food safety is a prevalent concern around the world. As such, detection, removal, and control of risks and hazardous substances present from harvest to consumption will always be necessary. Metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), a class of functional materials, possess unique physical and chemical properties, demonstrating promise in food safety applications. In this review, the synthesis and porosity of MOFs are first introduced by some representative examples that pertain to the field of food safety. Following that, the application of MOFs and MOF-based materials in food safety monitoring, food processing, covering preservation, sanitation, and packaging is overviewed. Future perspectives, as well as potential opportunities and challenges faced by MOFs in this field will also be discussed. This review aims to promote the development and progress of MOF chemistry and application research in the field of food safety, potentially leading to novel solutions.
