TL;DR: The ability of waste red mud, an industrial byproduct produced during the processing of bauxite ore, to remove procion orange was investigated at different initial dye concentrations, agitation time, adsorbent dosage, and pH as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: The ability of waste red mud, an industrial by-product produced during the processing of bauxite ore, to remove procion orange was investigated at different initial dye concentrations, agitation time, adsorbent dosage, and pH. Adsorption followed the Freundlich isotherm model. A maximum removal of 82% of the dye was observed at pH 2.0. Desorption studies showed that maximum desorption occurred at a pH of 11.

TL;DR: In this article, waste red mud obtained during the processing of bauxite ore has been used for the adsorption of acid violet at different initial dye concentrations (10−40 mg/L), agitation time, adsorbent dosages (0.05−1.15 g/50 mL) and pH (2−11).
Abstract: Waste red mud obtained during the processing of bauxite ore has been used for the adsorption of acid violet at different initial dye concentrations (10–40 mg/L), agitation time, adsorbent dosages (0.05–1.15 g/50 mL) and pH (2–11). Adsorption obeyed both Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms. Quantitative removal of dye was observed at pH 4.1. Desorption studies show that the adsorption is mainly due to ion-exchange.

TL;DR: Ch Chromatin condensation and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) cleavage studies showed that the GLP inhibited cell viability by inducing apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells.
Abstract: Marine macroalgae consist of a range of bioactive molecules exhibiting different biological activities, and many of these properties are attributed to sulfated polysaccharides, fucoxanthin, phycobiliproteins, and halogenated compounds. In this study, a glycoprotein (GLP) with a molecular mass of ∼48 kDa was extracted and purified from Codium decorticatum and investigated for its cytotoxic properties against human MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells. The IC50 values of GLP against MDA-MB-231 and normal breast HBL-100 cells (control) were 75 ± 0.23 μg/mL (IC25), 55 ± 0.32 μg/mL (IC50), and 30 ± 0.43 μg/mL (IC75) and 90 ± 0.57 μg/mL (IC25), 80 ± 0.48 μg/mL (IC50), and 60 ± 0.26 μg/mL (IC75), respectively. Chromatin condensation and poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) cleavage studies showed that the GLP inhibited cell viability by inducing apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells. Induction of mitochondria-mediated intrinsic apoptotic pathway by GLP was evidenced by the events of loss of mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨm...

TL;DR: Using Banach contraction principle and analysis technique, some sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the existence, uniqueness and uniform stability of the considered MFNNs and CVMFNNs with two different types of memductance functions.
Abstract: In this paper, the problem of the existence, uniqueness and uniform stability of memristor-based fractional-order neural networks (MFNNs) with two different types of memductance functions is extensively investigated. Moreover, we formulate the complex-valued memristor-based fractional-order neural networks (CVMFNNs) with two different types of memductance functions and analyze the existence, uniqueness and uniform stability of such networks. By using Banach contraction principle and analysis technique, some sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the existence, uniqueness and uniform stability of the considered MFNNs and CVMFNNs with two different types of memductance functions. The analysis results establish from the theory of fractional-order differential equations with discontinuous right-hand sides. Finally, four numerical examples are presented to show the effectiveness of our theoretical results.
