TL;DR: In this paper, a new well-behaved charged anisotropic solution of the field equations was discovered, which can represent a physically possible configuration with the inclusion of some net electric charge, i.e. the solution can become a wellbehaved solution with decreasing sound speed radially outward.
Abstract: In the present paper, we discover a new well-behaved charged anisotropic solution of Einstein–Maxwell’s field equations. We ansatz the metric potential g00 of the form given by Maurya el al. (Eur. Phys. J. C 76(2) (2016) 693) with n = 2. In their paper, it is mentioned that for n = 2, the solution is not well-behaved for neutral configuration as the speed of sound is nondecreasing radially outward. However, the solution can represent a physically possible configuration with the inclusion of some net electric charge, i.e. the solution can become a well-behaved solution with decreasing sound speed radially outward for a charged configuration. Due to the inclusion of electric charge, the solution leads to a very stiff equation-of-state (EoS) with the velocity of sound at the center vr02 = 0.819, vt02 = 0.923 and the compactness parameter u = 0.823 is close to the Buchdahl limit 0.889. This stiff EoS support a compact star configuration of mass 5.418M⊙ and radius of 10.1km.

Abstract: In the present article, we discover a new well-behaved charged anisotropic solution of Einstein-Maxwell's field equations. We ansatz the metric potential $g_{00}$ of the form given by Maurya el al. (arXiv:1607.05582v1) with $n=2$. In their article it is mentioned that for $n=2$ the solution is not well-behaved for neutral configuration as the speed of sound is non-decreasing radially outward. However, the solution can represent a physically possible configuration with the inclusion of some net electric charged i.e. the solution can become a well-behaved solution with decreasing sound speed radially outward for a charged configuration. Due to the inclusion of electric charged the solution leads to a very stiff equation of state (EoS) with the velocity of sound at the center $v_{r0}^2=0.819, ~v_{t0}^2=0.923$ and the compactness parameter $u=0.823$ is closed to the Buchdahl limit 0.889. This stiff EoS support a compact star configuration of mass $5.418M_\odot$ and radius of $10.1 km$.

TL;DR: The problem of finding static and spherically symmetric anisotropic compact stars in general relativity that admit conformal motions has been studied in this paper, where exact solutions of compact stars are found under the assumption that spherical symmetric spacetimes admits conformal motion with anisometric matter distribution in nature.
Abstract: We address the problem of finding static and spherically symmetric anisotropic compact stars in general relativity that admit conformal motions. The study is framed in the language of f(R) gravity theory in order to expose opportunity for further study in the more general theory. Exact solutions of compact stars are found under the assumption that spherically symmetric spacetimes admit conformal motion with anisotropic matter distribution in nature. In this work, two cases have been studied for the existence of such solutions: first, we consider the model given by $f(R)=R$ and then $f(R)=aR+b$ . Finally, specific characteristics and physical properties have been explored analytically along with graphical representations for conformally symmetric compact stars in f(R) gravity.

TL;DR: Two-input layered T exclusive OR module extends its design methodology to implement high fan-in exclusive OR gate designs with proper formulation of O-Cost and delay in QCA.
Abstract: The quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) which is the most promising technology in the paradigm of nano electronics has already been claimed to possess ultra-high packing density, high clocking speed and extremely low power dissipation. This work proposes a novel design of high fan-in exclusive-OR gate by using the layered T Gate of QCA. The 'robustness analysis' of layered T gate has also been done to focus the advantage of layered T architecture in generic sense considering the defects of QCA. The synthesis of 'three-literal standard functions' by using layered T gate reports an average 29.31% less area requirement as compared to the best reported design so far. Primarily two-input layered T exclusive OR shows 18.75% less cell requirement and 6.20% less area requirement as compared to the conventional two-input exclusive OR designs. Finally, two-input layered T exclusive OR module extends its design methodology to implement high fan-in exclusive OR gate designs with proper formulation of O-Cost and delay in QCA.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of nanoparticle size to enhance extinction in terms of absorption and scattering by means of surface Plasmon and also studied finite difference time domain based proposed solar cell model that improves in various simulated surface plasmonic fields components.
Abstract: From last decade, plasmonics gives very much attention and closely relates to the nanophotonic domains that can control of optical fields at the nano dimension level. Its most exciting property is to concentrate the electromagnetic field and also improves field components at nanometer scale, especially in solar cell. In plasmonic region, Noble metals like Au and Ag are best choice as nanoparticle where the density of electron gas that oscillates at Plasmon frequency and also improves absorption by scattering. In this paper, we investigate the effect of nanoparticle size to enhance extinction in terms of absorption and scattering by means of surface Plasmon and also studied finite difference time domain based proposed solar cell model that improves in various simulated surface plasmonic fields components. We also see that both silver and gold nanoparticle significantly improves optical absorption by plasmonic effect.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors conducted a study on MWCNT nano particlebiodiesel blends and found that they have the capability of reducing NOx, HC, and CO emissions, and increasing brake thermal efficiency closer to the value of conventional diesel.
Abstract: Generally, MWCNTs are allotropes of carbon with a cylindrical nanostructure. Nano tubes have beenconstructed with length-to-diameter ratio of up to 132,000,000:1, significantly larger than for any othermaterial. These cylindrical carbon molecules have unusual properties, which are valuable fornanotechnology, automotive, aerospace applications and other fields of materials science and technology. The diesel engines have advantages like durability, reliability and fuel economy compared to theircounterpart gasoline engines. The main problems associated with diesel engines are their higher emissionof particulate matter (PM) and Nitric oxides associated with various global hazards .Reduction ofhazardous tail pipe emission from the engine using different methods such as engine modification, fuelalteration with nano particle additives, and exhaust gas treatment are the feasible methods for reducing thesame. Through prior journal studies and from experimental studies conducted on MWCNT nano particlebiodiesel blends, it was found that they have the capability of reducing NOx, HC, and CO emissions, andincreasing brake thermal efficiency closer to the value of conventional diesel. The properties of thesenanostructures are so unique and enhanced that it is finding applications in various spheres of life – rightfrom automotive to optical and to space applications. Owing to their exceptional morphologicalcharacteristics, electric, thermal and mechanical, carbon nano tubes yield a material particularly promisingas reinforcement in the composite materials with metallic matrixes, ceramics and polymers for variousaerospace applications.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the switching behavior of SiC IGBT used for a SVM PWM induction motor drive application and calculated conduction losses and switching losses from the datasheet look up table while simulating the detailed inverter losses of the motor drive.
Abstract: Silicon Carbide (SiC) IGET has started getting extensive significance in different power electronics and motor drives applications during the last two decades. SiC IGBT can be used as a substitute to Silicon IGBT in application areas where very high level efficiency, high switching frequencies, incomparably lower switching losses and operation at elevated temperatures are aimed. This paper examines the switching behavior of SiC IGBT used for a SVM PWM induction motor drive application. The conduction losses and switching losses are calculated from the datasheet look up table while simulating the detailed inverter losses of the motor drive. Two test systems have been considered like one using Si IGBT and other using SiC IGBT for SVM PWM induction motor drive. Better dynamic performances, higher efficiency are obtained in simulated results using MATLAB.

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of cost and time resources on information seeking trends of individual for a buying decision and observes the effects on inter-individual-level variation of behavioral pattern.
Abstract: Objectives: This study investigates the effects of cost and time resources on information seeking trends of individual for a buying decision and observes the effects on inter-individual-level variation of behavioural pattern. Methods/ Statistical Analysis: We derive cost and time related dimensions from the data of the responses and estimate its effect on individuals information seeking. An in-depth questionnaire was administered to 307 respondents. Factor analysis, cluster analysis, multiple regression and Bayesian regression were used to identify cost and time related dimensions, finding segments of information seekers, estimating their effect on individual information seekers actions and compare between the individual level and aggregate level effect. Findings: It was found that there is a significant difference on individual’s propensity to perceived cost and incurs time and the user behavior under certain circumstances provides better results than aggregate level analysis. Previous researches on aggregate level or on individual differences use factor analysis or multiple regressions to show the personal differences but there population was always grouped according to their demographic variables, i.e. age, sex, educational level, subject specialization, working place, occupation etc. which characteristics may not act similarly at the time of searching information. In this research people are grouped according to their behavioural likeness and unlikeness. The Bayesian approach following a continuous model of heterogeneity is used in this research which evolves very rich and exemplary findings. It suggests that perceived cost has negative effect on frequency of visiting library and information center. It means that those who visit less to the library and information center tend to incur higher cost to procure information. The pricing strategy of the information may be designed accordingly. Applications/Improvements: Findings are very useful in designing information centers. If the regular information seekers can be grouped according to their behavioural characteristics, they can be served in a better way.

TL;DR: In this article, the performance of a SiC-based voltage source converter (VSC) operating in HVDC transmission system under the DC fault condition was analyzed and the three phase harmonic filters to eliminate the converter generated harmonics was also examined.
Abstract: Development in Silicon Carbide (SiC) semiconductor technology is gaining immense importance compared to the conventional silicon based semiconductor devices. Application areas where excellent level of efficiency, fast switching frequencies, very minimum switching losses and impressive performance under elevated temperatures is expected SiC provides the best results. Thus it plays a prominent role in future electrical grid technology. This paper analyses the performance of a SiC based voltage source converter (VSC) operating in HVDC transmission system under the DC fault condition. Simulations conducted on MATLAB/Simulink shows that proposed SiC based VSC-HVDC protection scheme reduces the DC short circuit fault current very quickly compared to the Si based VSC. Performance of three phase harmonic filters to eliminate the converter generated harmonics is also examined.
