TL;DR: The results clearly showed that the treatment with NaCl improved both the adsorption capacity and the removal efficiency of natural clinoptilolite, indicating a significant potential of the natural and conditioned clin optilolites as adsorbents for ammonium removal.

TL;DR: In the Eastern Rhodope Eo-Oligocene mafic magmatism as discussed by the authors, the authors have shown that some form of convective removal of the lithosphere and mantle diapisism provide the most satisfactory explanation for the Paleogene structural and magmatic evolution.

TL;DR: In this article, a model system consisting of hydrophilic and hydrophobic glass pre-coated with fibronectin and fibrinogen was used to study the influence of surface wettability on both types of cell adhesions.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show how a large θ ∼ 13 can arise from the charged lepton sector alone in the context of an SU(5) GUT in a (tri-)bimaximal mixing in the neutrino sector.
Abstract: The recent results from T2K and MINOS experiments point towards a relatively large value of the reactor angle θ 13 in the lepton sector. In this paper we show how a large θ 13 can arise from the charged lepton sector alone in the context of an SU(5) GUT. In such a scenario (tri-)bimaximal mixing in the neutrino sector is still a viable possibility. We also analyse the general implications of the considered scenario for the searches of CP violation in neutrino oscillations.
