TL;DR: In this paper, a method of making multi-phase particles that include nanoparticulates and matrix, which maintains the nanopartics in a dispersed state, was proposed, where a flowing gas dispersion is generated that includes droplets of a precursor medium dispersed in a gas phase.
Abstract: In one aspect, the present invention relates to a method of making multi-phase particles that include nanoparticulates and matrix, which maintains the nanoparticulates in a dispersed state. A flowing gas dispersion is generated that includes droplets of a precursor medium dispersed in a gas phase. The precursor medium contains liquid vehicle and at least a first precursor to a first material and a second precursor to a second material. The multi-phase particles are formed from the gas dispersion by removing at least a portion of the liquid vehicle from the droplets of precursor medium. The nanoparticulates in the multi-phase particles include the first material and the matrix in the multi-phase particles includes the second material.

TL;DR: In this paper, the off-gas from a carbon black furnace is employed as a combustion gas feed stream to the burner or combustion zone of the same or a different carbon black furnaces in accordance with certain embodiments.
Abstract: Off-gas from a carbon black furnace is employed as a combustion gas feed stream to the burner or combustion zone of the same or a different carbon black furnace in accordance with certain embodiments, suitable conduit and valving is provided to pass off-gas, from which carbon black has been substantially removed, from any and all of multiple different carbon black furnaces to the burner. The off-gas is heated, preferably by plasma heating, and dewatered. Carbon dioxide stripping or rather stripping of gas components from the dewatered heated off-gas is found to be unnecessary to achieve economically favorable use of off-gas recirculation.

TL;DR: In this paper, a sprayable inks and processes for forming catalyst-coated membranes are described. But the authors focus on highly porous catalyst coated membranes and to sprayable ink.
Abstract: The invention is directed to highly porous catalyst coated membranes and to sprayable inks and processes for forming catalyst coated membranes. In one aspect, the invention is to a sprayable ink, comprising catalyst particles, polymer electolyte ionomer, and a vehicle for dispersing the catalyst particles and polymer electolyte ionomer. In another aspect, the process comprises the steps of depositing an ink comprising catalyst particles and a vehicle onto a membrane and vaporizing from 40 to 95 weight percent of the vehicle from the sprayed ink under conditions effective to form a catalyst layer on the membrane. Preferably, the depositing and vaporizing steps are alternated to form multiple stacked catalyst layers on the membrane.

TL;DR: In this paper, a variety of dispersible doped multi-component BaTiO 3 based powder compositions are described, where the primary particles of each of the products are substantially spherical, have sizes in the range of 0.05 to 0.4 microns and have narrow size distributions.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a variety of dispersible doped multi-component BaTiO 3 based powder compositions. The primary particles of each of the products are substantially spherical, have sizes in the range of 0.05 to 0.4 microns and have narrow size distributions. Further, the compositions of the primary particles, forming each powder, are comparable. The amount of dopant oxide or oxides contained in the powder composition ranges from between greater than 1 to 10 mole percent. Regardless of the dopant or dopants utilzied, all the powder compositions of the present invention are identified by the same unique morphological characteristics.
