TL;DR: Carbon black rubber compositions have been shown to be particularly suitable for use in the production of rubber compositions having reduced extrusion shrinkage properties as discussed by the authors, having an I2No of 48-58 mg/g, a CTAB of 45-55 m2/g; a Tint of 65-75 %; a CDBP of 90-100 cc/100 g; and a DBP of 122-132 cc /100 g.
Abstract: Carbon blacks having an I2No of 48-58 mg/g; a CTAB of 45-55 m2/g; A Tint of 65-75 %; a CDBP of 90-100 cc/100 g; and a DBP of 122-132 cc/100 g particularly well suited for use in the production of rubber compositions having reduced extrusion shrinkage properties. Also disclosed are rubber compositions containing the carbon blacks.

TL;DR: In this article, a rotary axial forging method for making sputter targets using rotary-axial forging is described, and other thermomechanical working steps can be used prior to or after the forging step.
Abstract: A method of making sputter targets using rotary axial forging is described. Other thermomechanical working steps can be used prior to and/or after the forging step. Sputter targets are further described which can have unique grain size and/or crystal structures.

TL;DR: In this paper, a mixture of a mineral binder and a silicon-containing carbon black is proposed to improve the color and weathering properties of roofing tiles. But, the method of improving the color stability of the binder composition is not discussed.
Abstract: Binder compositions are provided which include a mineral binder and a silicon-containing carbon black. The silicon-containing carbon black can have attached an ionic or ionizable organic group or can be oxidized. Silicon-containing carbon blacks may be prepared by a furnace method. The binder compositions of the present invention have improved coloring and weathering properties in comparison to binder compositions prepared with conventional carbon blacks. Furthermore, the binder compositions that incorporate silicon-containing carbon blacks having ionic or ionizable organic groups attached exhibit excellent dispersibility, even in pelletized form. Articles such as roofing tiles can be prepared from the binder compositions. Also contemplated is a method of improving the color stability of a mineral binder composition. Silicon-containing carbon blacks as described above are added to the mineral binder composition.
