TL;DR: The study revealed that the electrically conductive 13-93B3 graphene scaffolds are promising candidates for bone tissue engineering applications and cytotoxicity assay findings were significantly inhibited by the scaffolds containing higher amount of graphene.
Abstract: In this study, electrically conductive, borate-based, porous 13-93B3 bioactive glass composite scaffolds were prepared using a polymer foam replication technique For this purpose, a slurry contain

TL;DR: In this paper, the tribological and mechanical properties of journal bearings manufactured by metals were investigated and experiments were carried out in every 30 min for a total of 150 min by using radial journal bearing wear test rig.
Abstract: Copper, aluminum and tin-lead based alloys are widely used as journal bearing materials in tribological applications. Bronze and brass are widely used as journal bearing materials for copper based alloys. Zamacs find applications as journal bearing materials for zinc based alloys, while duralumines are chosen as journal bearing materials for aluminum based alloys. In addition, white metals are widely used as journal bearing materials for tin-lead based alloys. These alloys ensure properties expected from journal bearings. In this study, tribological and mechanical properties of these journal bearings manufactured by metals were investigated. SAE 1050 steel shaft was used as counter abrader. Experiments were carried out in every 30 min for a total of 150 min by using radial journal bearing wear test rig.

TL;DR: A new liquid culture medium prepared with chemicals that can be obtained economically and commercially was tested in in vitro cultivation of Leishmania promastigotes to obtain a large number of organisms to use in serological studies and was evaluated as being quite inexpensive, simple, and successful compared with other commercially available liquid culture media.
Abstract: A new liquid culture medium prepared with chemicals that can be obtained economically and commercially was tested in in vitro cultivation of Leishmania promastigotes to obtain a large number of organisms to use in serological studies. The number of Leishmania infantum and Leishmania tropica promastigotes taken from Novy-MacNeal-Nicolle (NNN) medium reached 1 x 10(7)/ml at the end of the 8th day in our new medium, though in NNN medium the number of organisms reached only 5 x 10(6)/ml. After 10 subsequent passages, the culture medium prepared was evaluated as being quite inexpensive, simple, and successful compared with other commercially available liquid culture media.

TL;DR: In this article, a new optimal perturbation iteration method for solving the generalized Fitzhugh-Nagumo equation with time-dependent coefficients is proposed, with the aid of symbolic computations, providing a straightforward and impressive mathematical tool for solving nonlinear partial differential equations.
Abstract: In this work, we propose a new optimal perturbation iteration method for solving the generalized Fitzhugh–Nagumo equation with time-dependent coefficients. This research reveals that the new proposed technique, with the aid of symbolic computations, provides a straightforward and impressive mathematical tool for solving nonlinear partial differential equations. Implementing this method to Fitzhugh–Nagumo equation illustrates its potency. Convergence analysis also shows that OPIM, unlike many other methods in literature, converges fast to exact analytical solutions of the nonlinear problems at lower order of approximations.
