TL;DR: In this paper, wear behaviors of aged aluminium AA 2024 and AA 6063 alloys were investigated, and it was found that the hardness of the second phase precipitated samples was higher than that of the as-cast samples and increased with increasing the solution temperature and aging periods.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors defined the reaction of unsaturated aliphatic carbons chains in biolipids as a multi-step reaction process where primary products (conjugated diene hydroperoxides) decompose and chemically interact with each other to form numerous secondary oxidation products.
Abstract: The term biodiesel means the monoalkyl esters of long-chain fatty acids made from biolipids such as vegetable oils, animal fats, or algae. Chemical reactivity of biodiesel can be divided into oxidative and thermal instability. Many of the biolipids contain polyunsaturated fatty acid chains in that their double bonds have high chemical reactivity. The oxidative and thermal degradation occurs on the double bonds of unsaturated aliphatic carbons chains in biolipids. Oxidation of biodiesel results in the formation of hydroperoxides. The formation of the hydroperoxide follows a well-known peroxidation chain mechanism. The olefinic unsaturated fatty acid oxidation is a multi-step reaction process where primary products (conjugated diene hydroperoxides) decompose and chemically interact with each other to form numerous secondary oxidation products. The oxidative and thermal instability are determined by the amount and configuration of the olefinic unsaturation on the fatty acid chains. The viscosity of ...

TL;DR: The conversion disorder with pseudoneurological symptoms or deficits is inadequately frequent in the population of Manisa, Turkey, as shown in this study.
Abstract: There is not a wide agreement upon rate of conversion disorder within Turkish population. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of conversion disorder with pseudoneurological symptoms or deficits and related risk factors in a city. In total, 1,086 people, aged 15–65 years old, were selected from the city of Manisa, Turkey to take part in the study. We applied sociodemographic and health information questionnaires and the Composite International Diagnostic Interview (CIDI) Somatization Subscales to the samples. The likelihood that an individual might have conversion disorder with pseudoneurological symptoms or deficits was found to be 5.6% (n = 61). The prevalence of conversion disorder with pseudoneurological symptoms or deficits was significantly higher among women (p < 0.0001), 15–24 year old women (p = 0.011) and 25–34 year old women (p = 0.003), people who live as squatters (p = 0.03), those with a history of psychiatric disorder (p < 0.0001) and those having a mother with a psychiatric disorder (p = 0.04). This study has shown the conversion disorder with pseudoneurological symptoms or deficits is inadequately frequent in the population.

TL;DR: Increased rates of attention deficit symptoms in children with asthma, as reported by mothers, might reflect the negative impact of asthma on neurobehavioral health and must be considered for further evaluation regarding attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Abstract: Background. Asthma that is chronic may influence children's behavioral health and quality of life (QoL) negatively. Objective. To evaluate the frequency of attention deficit and hyperactivity symptoms in children with asthma and to determine if these symptoms are associated with a deterioration of QoL. Methods. Mothers of 62 children with moderate asthma and those of 38 healthy children aged between 7–12 years were included in the study. Conners' Parent Rating Scale-48 (CPRS), a 48-item multiple-choice questionnaire, was completed by the mothers to identify attention deficit and hyperactivity symptoms in children. The Pediatric Asthma Quality of Life Questionnaire (PAQLQ) was filled in by children to measure QoL. Results. Mean age was 9.2 ± 1.5 years for asthmatic children (37 male, 25 female) and 10.1 ± 1.3 years for control group (20 male, 18 female). The two groups were similar regarding age and sex. Attention deficit score in the asthma group was significantly higher than that in the control group (p ...

TL;DR: In this article, a search for CP violation using T-odd correlations is performed using the four-body D-0 -> K+K-pi(+)pi(-) decay, selected from semileptonic B decays.
Abstract: A search for CP violation using T-odd correlations is performed using the four-body D-0 -> K+K-pi(+)pi(-) decay, selected from semileptonic B decays. The data sample corresponds to integrated luminosities of 1.0 fb(-1) and 2.0 fb(-1) recorded at the centre-of-mass energies of 7 TeV and 8 TeV, respectively. The CP-violating asymmetry alpha(T-odd)(CP) is measured to be (0.18 +/- 0.29 (stat) +/- 0.04 (syst))%. Searches for CP violation in different regions of phase space of the four-body decay, and as a function of the D-0 decay time, are also presented. No significant deviation from the CP conservation hypothesis is found.
