TL;DR: Zinc was found to be the most abundant metal in water and tissues of Chondrostoma nasus and Barbus capito pectoralis and in some tissues, the concentrations of some of these metals exceeded acceptable levels for human consumption.
Abstract: The genotoxic and histopathological effects of water pollution were investigated on two fish species caught from the Buyuk Menderes River and from its tributary, the Cine Stream. The Buyuk Menderes basin is an important agricultural area in Turkey. The levels of copper, zinc, cadmium, cobalt, and lead were measured at the surface of the water and in gills, liver, and muscle tissue of Chondrostoma nasus and Barbus capito pectoralis. In some tissues, the concentrations of some of these metals exceeded acceptable levels for human consumption. Zinc was found to be the most abundant metal in water and tissues. Maximal metal accumulation was observed in the liver. To detect the genotoxic potential of contaminants, the formation of micronucleus in erythrocytes was used as indicator of chromosomal damage. The frequency of micronucleus formation did not show significant differences between locations and controls in B. capito pectoralis caught from three locations and C. nasus from two locations. The histological changes included significant decreases of the mean lengths of primary and secondary lamellae. In gills epithelia, we observed cellular proliferation that developed Because of secondary lamellae fusion, ballooning degenerations, or club deformation of secondary lamellae and cystic structures in secondary lamellae. In the liver, the changes included swollen and ruptured parenchymal cells, loss of cord structure, vacuoles filled with cellular debris, focal necrosis, and a significant increase in Kupffer cells.

TL;DR: The results suggest that PRF is less destructive than CRF for the peripheral nerves, however, this idea should also be investigated at the molecular level, and safety analysis should be performed for routine clinical practice.
Abstract: ObjectivesTo compare the neuroablative effects of pulsed radiofrequency (PRF) and conventional radiofrequency (CRF) techniques on the sciatic nerve, a peripheral nerve that includes motor, sensory, and autonomous fibers.MethodsThe study consisted of 5 groups of 6 adult male Wistar rats. TL;DR: Optimum spray drying conditions of whole egg powder were determined according to the specific end-product requirements to obtain the desired value of functional properties, i.e.; emulsion stability, gel texture, foaming stability and colour change.
Abstract: Pasteurized liquid whole egg was subjected to spray drying to determine the effect of spray drying conditions on moisture content, water activity, peroxide value, emulsion stability, gel texture, foaming stability and colour change of the powder product. Drying process was carried out in a pilot scale spray dryer (Mobile Minor Niro-Atomizer, Denmark). The inlet (165–195 °C) and outlet air temperatures (60–80 °C) and the atomization pressure (196–392 kPa) were investigated as spray drying process variables. Perturbation and 3-D graphs revealed that outlet air temperature and atomization pressure had more effect than inlet air temperature, on the properties of whole egg powder. Optimum spray drying conditions of whole egg powder were determined according to the specific end-product requirements (bakery foods, omelette and mayonnaise and salad dressing) targeting to obtain the desired value of functional properties, i.e.; emulsion stability, gel texture, foaming stability and colour change.

TL;DR: In this article, the LHCb measurement of the lifetime ratio of the Lambda(0)(b) baryon to the (B) over bar (0) meson is updated using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 3.0 fb(-1) collected using 7 and 8 TeV center-of-mass energy pp collisions at LHC.
