TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the Lagrangian-Eulerian method to describe the fluid motion within the cavity for the flexible fin attached to its upper wall under the influence of an inclined magnetic field.
Abstract: In this study, fluid flow and heat transfer in a vertical lid-driven CuO–water nanofluid filled square cavity with a flexible fin attached to its upper wall under the influence of an inclined magnetic field are numerically investigated. The left vertical wall of the cavity is colder than right vertical wall, and it moves in + y direction with constant speed. Horizontal walls of the cavity are insulated. The governing equations are solved with finite element method. The arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian method is used to describe the fluid motion within the cavity for the flexible fin in the fluid-structure interaction model. The influence of Richardson number (between 0.01 and 100), Hartmann number (between 0 and 50), inclination angle of the magnetic field (between 0 and 90%), nanoparticle volume fraction (between 0 and 0.05) and Young’s modulus of flexible fin (between 250 and 5000) on the flow and heat transfer were numerically studied. It is observed that the presence of the elastic fin affects the flow field and thermal characteristics of the cavity. The local and average heat transfer enhance as the Richardson number, solid volume fraction of the nanoparticle increase whereas deteriorate as the value of the Hartmann number and inclination angle of the magnetic field increases due to the dampening of the fluid motion with Lorentz forces. The addition of the nanoparticles is more effective along the lower part of the right vertical wall where the heat transfer process is effective. The average heat transfer increases by 28.96% for solid volume fraction of 0.05% compared to base fluid when the flexible fin is attached to the upper wall. The average heat transfer deteriorates by 10.10% for cavity with and without fin at Hartmann number of 50 compared to the case without magnetic field. The average heat transfer enhances as the Young’s modulus of the flexible fin decreases and the average Nusselt number increases by 13.24% for Young’s modulus of 250 compared to configuration for the cavity having the Young’s modulus of 5000.

TL;DR: In this article, a content analysis was conducted on the definitions of computational thinking, and it was found that computational thinking was defined based on several concepts such as problem solving, technology, thinking, individual and social qualities.
Abstract: Computational Thinking is a skill that guides the 21th century individual in the problems experienced during daily life and it has an ever-increasing significance. Multifarious definitions were attempted to explain the concept of Computational Thinking. However, it was determined that there was no consensus on this matter in the literature and several different concepts were mentioned in the definitions found in the literature. It was considered that this fact made it difficult to understand the concept of Computational Thinking. To establish a more comprehensive approach, the present study aimed to identify the concepts that are included in the Computational Thinking definitions that were presented in previous studies. It also aimed to reveal trends in the identified concepts throughout the years. As a result of the search, a total of 59 definitions were identified and a content analysis was conducted on these definitions. Analysis results demonstrated that Computational Thinking was defined based on several concepts such as problem solving, technology, thinking, individual and social qualities. Furthermore, it was determined that statements on thinking were prominent before 2006, and today, emphasis on problem solving and technology became more significant. It was considered that the present study would contribute to a better understanding of the Computational Thinking concept. At the end of the study, certain suggestions were presented for further research.

TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of Richardson number (between 0.05 and 50), internal Rayleigh number (within 10 4 and 10 8 ), size and elastic modulus of the partial flexible wall and nanoparticle volume fraction on the fluid flow and heat transfer were numerically investigated.
Abstract: Numerical study of mixed convection in a partially heated nanofluid-filled lid driven cavity with internal heat generation and having a partial flexible wall was performed. The bottom wall of the triangular enclosure is moving with constant speed and left vertical wall is partially heated. The inclined wall of the cavity is cooled and partially flexible. The governing equations are solved with Galerkin weighted residual finite element method. The effects of Richardson number (between 0.05 and 50), internal Rayleigh number (between 10 4 and 10 8 ), size and elastic modulus of the partial flexible wall and nanoparticle volume fraction (between 0 and 0.04) on the fluid flow and heat transfer were numerically investigated. It was observed that the local and averaged heat transfer reduce as the value of the Richardson number and internal Rayleigh number increase. As the value of the elastic modulus of the inclined wall and nanoparticle volume fraction increase, local and average heat transfer enhance. The discrepancy between the averaged Nusselt number increase for different sizes for the lower values of elastic modulus of the flexible wall. When heat transfer process is effective adding nanoparticles to the base fluid is advantageous.

TL;DR: The results of the application reveal that the proposed approach can effectively be used in practice for business customer segmentation, and may contribute firms to gaining sustainable competitive advantage in the market by increasing the effectiveness of CRM strategies.
Abstract: – The purpose of this paper is to develop a systematic approach for business customer segmentation. , – This study proposes an approach for business customer segmentation that integrates clustering and multi-criteria decision making (MCDM). First, proper segmentation variables are identified and then customers are grouped by using hierarchical and partitional clustering algorithms. The approach extended the recency-frequency-monetary (RFM) model by proposing five novel segmentation variables for business markets. To confirm the viability of the proposed approach, a real-world application is presented. Three agglomerative hierarchical clustering algorithms namely “Ward’s method,” “single linkage” and “complete linkage,” and a partitional clustering algorithm, “k-means,” are used in segmentation. In the implementation, fuzzy analytic hierarchy process is employed to determine the importance of the segments. , – Business customers of an international original equipment manufacturer (OEM) are segmented in the application. In this regard, 317 business customers of the OEM are segmented as “best,” “valuable,” “average,” “potential valuable” and “potential invaluable” according to the cluster ranks obtained in this study. The results of the application reveal that the proposed approach can effectively be used in practice for business customer segmentation. , – The success of the proposed approach relies on the availability and quality of customers’ data. Therefore, design of an extensive customer database management system is the foundation for any successful customer relationship management (CRM) solution offered by the proposed approach. Such a database management system may entail a noteworthy level of investment. , – The results of the application reveal that the proposed approach can effectively be used in practice for business customer segmentation. By making customer segmentation decisions, the proposed approach can provides firms a basis for the development of effective loyalty programs and design of customized strategies for their customers. , – The proposed segmentation approach may contribute firms to gaining sustainable competitive advantage in the market by increasing the effectiveness of CRM strategies. , – This study proposes an integrated approach for business customer segmentation. The proposed approach differentiates itself from its counterparts by combining MCDM and clustering in business customer segmentation. In addition, it extends the traditional RFM model by including five novel segmentation variables for business markets.
