TL;DR: In this paper, the authors examined the phenomenon of Employee Retention in the ITeS sector in the Tri-City of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula in order to develop appropriate strategies, which can help the organizations in this sector to retain their valuable talent.
Abstract: The retention of knowledge worker has become extremely critical for the success of a business organization in the present scenario especially in the service sector with lot of people interface. HR department has to play a key role in designing the policies, practices and strategies, which can enable an organization to retain the human resources contributing significantly to the business. The present study examines the phenomenon of Employee Retention in the ITeS sector in the Tri-City of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula in order to develop appropriate strategies, which can help the organizations in this sector to retain their valuable talent. The major objectives of the research are to study: employee retention strategies followed in the ITeS industry in the Tri-city of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula; significance of select HR practices in the attainment of job satisfaction amongst the employees of the industry; extent of employee attrition prevalent; significance of individual, organizational and industry related factors in determining employee retention; correlation between job satisfaction and employee retention; prevalence of Talent Management System and identify different strategies adopted to reduce the monotony of work for the executive positions. The t-test, chi square test and correlation test is used for evaluation of the data.

TL;DR: It is observed that the students who are attending more lectures get good marks in mid semester test and end semester exams and also correlates attendance and maturity level of students.
Abstract: Student’s changing lifestyle, teaching methodology and technology leads to non attendance of lectures at college and university level. Among all factors, whether or not attending lectures affects a student’s exam performance has received considerable attention. In this paper, we conduct a randomized experiment to study the impact of attendance on the performance. This paper correlates attendance and marks. It also correlates attendance and maturity level of students. This is observed that the students who are attending more lectures get good marks in mid semester test and end semester exams. We here select random data of Digital Electronics (EC-204) of fourth semseter class of Rayat & Bahra Institute of Engineering & Bio-Technology, Sahuran. We found that class attendance has produced a positive and significant impact on students’ exam performance. On average, attending lecture corresponds to improvement in exam performance. We here use Two-Way ANOVA for performance analysis.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors proposed that light is pumped by using pump source along with hybrid optical doped fiber amplifiers for solar energy conversion, and the gain spectrum of EDFA has been broadened and flattened by cascading EDFA with TDFA.
Abstract: The conversion of solar energy is proposed by using light source injecting into a length of fiber laser. Hybrid amplifiers with different gain bandwidths are indensible for long haul wavelength multiplexed optical communication systems in C-band and L-band. In this paper, we proposed that light is pumped by using pump source along with hybrid optical doped fiber amplifiers. For solar energy conversion the hybrid doped fiber amplifier scheme in which EDFA and TDFA are cascaded is proposed. The gain spectrum of EDFA has been broadened and flattened by cascading EDFA with TDFA which increases the efficiency of solar energy conversion. On using this configuration we have obtained a bandwidth of 100 nm for energy conversion.
