TL;DR: An efficient method of positioning and mapping a mobile station in varying weather conditions, without the use of Global Positioning System (GPS); operable using the preestablished infrastructure is proposed.
Abstract: Numerous methods have been applied to accurately determine the location of a mobile station (MS), of which, most of them require weather dependent parameters. An efficient method of positioning and mapping a mobile station in varying weather conditions, without the use of Global Positioning System (GPS); operable using the preestablished infrastructure is proposed. Another advantage of this system is that, only one base station (BS) is utilized. The uplink control channel power from a mobile station received by a base station determines the power to be transmitted to that user. With the change of weather condition, the power data also changes. However, the collective power level changes uniformly; allowing their slopes to remain constant in any case. Extracting the slope of the plot eludes the system from power amplitude dependency, henceforth making this system exclusive to weather change.

TL;DR: In this article, a case study is made on the available rooftop area in Cote D'Azur region in France and probable energy production is counted based on it, where several factors (e.g., rooftop tilt angle, corrective features, performance ratio, solar panel efficiency e.t.c.) need to be considered while calculating available surface area.
Abstract: Solar PV can be undoubtedly a good source of green energy if we don't consider only the price rather than think about the impact on the environment. Rooftop solar PV installation can be a good alternative to minimize the use of fossil fuel based power consumption. While calculating solar PV, several factors (eg. rooftop tilt angle, corrective features, performance ratio, solar panel efficiency e.t.c.) need to be considered while calculating available surface area. By using these factors, the generalized method of annual energy production from time series global horizontal irradiation value is briefly described in section three. That's how a case study is made on the available rooftop area in Cote D'Azur region in France and probable energy production is counted based on it.

TL;DR: In this paper, a numerical simulation using the Finite Element Method (FEM) has been performed using the COMSOL Multiphysics software to optimize the frequency and strength of iron and steel bar along with two semi-circular surface cracks.
Abstract: Solid composite materials such as steel, fiber plastics, etc are now particularly widely used in industry and civil construction, where a high strength-to-weight ratio is required Its dynamic behavior is influenced by cracks, body deflection, or other defects in a structural element and changes its stiffness Therefore, crack identification and observation of load distribution and deflection in the solid components of health monitoring systems is important The constant study provides a vibration-based method for detecting the location of open or hidden cracks as well as a tool for comparing the best material between iron and steel In this analysis, a numerical simulation using the Finite Element Method (FEM) has been performed using the COMSOL Multiphysics software to optimize the frequency and strength of iron and steel bar along with two semi-circular surface cracks It is found that frequencies are proportional to the increase in load and maximum frequency (around 21842 Hz for iron and 61977 Hz for steel) reserved at the cracked stage Finally, we get that deflection of steel bodies is higher than that of iron and steel is capable of tolerating so much load as iron is deformed without actually breaking through cracked or un-cracked bodies From this study, very small sizes crack (minimum 005 mm) can be defined in any structural body and the most acceptable solid materials can be chosen for the particular structure

TL;DR: The study has revealed that modification(s) to two of the coefficients included in the provisions of AS3600:2018 would provide a more consistent and reliable factor of safety for the anchorage of reinforcement in large-scale concrete members, including at lapped splice locations.
Abstract: When designing a reinforced concrete member for strength, ductility and robustness, it is essential that a sufficient length of reinforcement is developed on both sides of a critical section in a zone of tension. The specifications of the existing codes of practice for calculating the development length of reinforcement are statistically based on test data mostly from small-scale pull-out and beam specimens, and their applicability outside the range of the test data is uncertain. This paper describes an experimental research program to assess the effects of different structural parameters on the development length requirements for modern high strength steel reinforcing bars, including the case of lapped splices in large-scale reinforced concrete members in bending. The factors of safety obtained in the tests are assessed according to the Australian Standard (AS3600:2018) provisions for the anchorage length of reinforcing bars in tension and also in terms of attainable average bond stress in different anchorage conditions. The study has revealed that modification(s) to two of the coefficients included in the provisions of AS3600:2018 would provide a more consistent and reliable factor of safety for the anchorage of reinforcement in large-scale concrete members, including at lapped splice locations.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of anode surface modification on performance of uniformly mixed-host (MH) emissive layer (EML) based organic light emitting diode (OLED) has been investigated by the numerical simulation.
Abstract: The effect of anode surface modification on performance of uniformly mixed-host (MH) emissive layer (EML) based organic light emitting diode (OLED) has been investigated by the numerical simulation. Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) used as anode in the device. Due to proposed surface modification technique of ITO, the energy barrier at anode/organic layer interface is reduced which consummately enhanced the hole injection rate that leads to balance of carriers transportation and recombination in the EML. Through the numerical simulation, the electrical characteristics and internal device physics of uniform MH-OLED have been analyzed quantitatively. Calculated current balance factor which is related to the external quantum efficiency also confirmed the efficiency enhancement of MH-OLED by the proposed ITO work function modification technique.
