TL;DR: An attempt has been made to identify and categorize the security threats applicable to Cloud environment, and threats are classified into Cloud specific security issues and traditional security attacks on various service delivery models of Cloud.
Abstract: The emerging technology popularly referred to as Cloud computing offers dynamically scalable computing resources on a pay per use basis over the Internet. Companies avail hardware and software resources as service from the cloud service provider as opposed to obtaining physical assets. Cloud computing has the potential for significant cost reduction and increased operating efficiency in computing. To achieve these benefits, however, there are still some challenges to be solved. Security is one of the prime concerns in adopting Cloud computing, since the user’s data has to be released from the protection sphere of the data owner to the premises of cloud service provider. As more Cloud based applications keep evolving, the associated security threats are also growing. In this paper an attempt has been made to identify and categorize the security threats applicable to Cloud environment. Threats are classified into Cloud specific security issues and traditional security attacks on various service delivery models of Cloud. The work also briefly discusses the virtualization and authentication related issues in Cloud and tries to consolidate the various security threats in a classified manner.

TL;DR: In this paper, an attempt has been made to combine hot air with a conventional cutting tool to form a novel Hot Air Assisted Hybrid Machining (HAAHM) for the machining of soda-lime-silica glass.
Abstract: Hybrid machining is a combination of conventional with the non-conventional process or two non-conventional processes. In the present work, an attempt has been made to combine hot air with a conventional cutting tool to form a novel Hot Air Assisted Hybrid Machining (HAAHM) for the machining of soda-lime-silica glass. The mathematical model for the Material Removal Rate (MRR) and Surface Roughness (Ra) using Regression Analysis (RA) and the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) models has been developed for the grooving process. The deviation of 8.24% and 7.70% were found in the prediction of MRR and Ra by regression analysis and the deviation of 1.89% and 1.70% for MRR and Ra using an artificial neural network model. The deviation between the predicted and the experimental results of both the models are found to be within the permissible limit. Higher predictive capabilities were observed in ANN model than the regression model. However, both models demonstrated good agreement with the MRR of soda-lime-silica glass by this hybrid machining process.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the institutional responsibility-autonomy linkages in the main operational areas of autonomy and illustrate the accountability outcomes of autonomy, and arrive at an accountability management model that compares conventional management practice styles and Accountability Management practice styles, and discusses the processes which come into play therein.
Abstract: Higher Education Institutions cherish the desire to obtain the status of ‘Autonomy’. This gives substantial freedom and maneuverability to improve the quality of education and global brand building exercise which is crucial for their survival and growth in the face of challenges and competitions. Autonomy implies the freedom to have self-sustainable practices in the overall management of academic and administrative matters. Developing new courses, designing curriculum, determining fee structure, admission of students, engaging teachers, remuneration and retention, teaching-learning, examination and evaluation, and grading, all come under the purview of autonomy. Eventually, autonomy is paving way for increased responsibility and accountability. This paper aims to discuss the institutional responsibility-autonomy linkages in the main operational areas of autonomy and illustrates the accountability outcomes of autonomy. An attempt is also made to arrive at an Accountability Management model that compares conventional management practice styles and Accountability Management practice styles and discusses the processes which come into play therein. Besides, key principles of Accountability management are elaborated.

TL;DR: A detailed study has been made on various types of agricultural drones based on the feature, capacity, range as well as cost and the area of agriculture where they suit the most, and a statistical analysis about the usage of the drones in the field of agriculture as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: Drones are considered to be the greatest invention of mankind. Drones can be used in many areas widely. Drones can also be used in agriculture and it is called as unnamed aerial vehicles (UAV). In the traditional agriculture methods land vehicles are used to monitor various activities of the agriculture, this was consuming lot of human effort and time. Using drones in agriculture is more beneficial than using traditional methods for the activities. Usage of drones in agriculture provides a huge benefit in terms of economy and time due to their most astonishing features. In recent years many surveys have proved that drones can cover almost 10 to 15 times of the area which can be covered with traditional land based techniques. Drones can be controlled by computers according to their capacities, that is drones can be automated over some range of area, locating remote area, and even can be semi-automated. Drones can be efficiently used in agriculture for performing certain activities such as, studying weather conditions and variations, infection for the crops, land fertility and many more. Because of the efficiency of the drones they can be used in various activities of agriculture. In this paper, a detailed study has been made on various types of agricultural drones based on the feature, capacity, range as well as cost and the area of agriculture where they suit the most, and a statistical analysis about the usage of the drones in the field of agriculture.

TL;DR: This work analyzes the intraday trading strategy employing the concept of Bollinger Bands to identify stocks that generates maximum profit and examines the profits generated over one trading year.
Abstract: The availability of huge distributed computing power using frameworks like Hadoop and Spark has facilitated algorithmic trading employing technical analysis of Big Data. We used the conventional Bollinger Bands set at two standard deviations based on a band of moving average over 20 minute-by-minute price values. The Nifty 50, a portfolio of blue chip companies, is a stock index of National Stock Exchange (NSE) of India reflecting the overall market sentiment. In this work, we analyze the intraday trading strategy employing the concept of Bollinger Bands to identify stocks that generates maximum profit. We have also examined the profits generated over one trading year. The tick-by-tick stock market data has been sourced from the NSE and was purchased by Amrita School of Business. The tick-by-tick data being typically Big Data was converted to a minute data on a distributed Spark platform prior to the analysis.
