TL;DR: A framework for personalized web page recommendation based on a hybridized strategy is proposed and the Personalization is achieved by prioritizing the Web pages based on the Prioritization Vector.
Abstract: The World Wide Web is constantly evolving and is the most dynamic information repository in the world that has ever existed. Since the information on the web is changing continuously and owing to the presence of a large number of similar web pages, it is very challenging to retrieve the most relevant information. With a large number of malicious and fake web pages, it is required to retrieve Web Pages that are trustworthy. Personalization of the recommendation of web pages is certainly necessary to estimate the user interests for suggesting web pages as per their choices. Moreover, the Web is tending towards a more organized Semantic Web which primarily requires semantic techniques for recommending the Web Pages. In this paper, a framework for personalized web page recommendation based on a hybridized strategy is proposed. Web Pages are recommended based on the user query by analyzing the …

TL;DR: In this paper, the ND-Co3O4/EG hybrid nanoliquid mixed convective flow past a vertical porous cylinder is modeled and computations are performed to study the effect of slip effects and homogeneous-heterogeneous reaction impacts.
Abstract: Modeling and computations are performed to study the ND-Co3O4/EG hybrid nanoliquid mixed convective flow past a vertical porous cylinder. The flow analysis and formulation are given accounting for slip effects and homogeneous-heterogeneous reaction impacts. The governing complex equations formed with prescribed boundary conditions are simplified into self-similar equations through the use of suitable transformations. The numerical solutions of the drag coefficient, Nusselt number, liquid velocity, liquid temperature, and the liquid concentration are explored through graphs with the setting of pertaining parameter values. From the results, it is noticed that an ND-Co3O4/EG nanofluid plays a more impressive role in the process of energy transfer than a Co3O4/EG nanofluid. Further, it is found that the heterogeneous reaction parameter decreases the concentration whereas multiple slips enhance the temperature.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors make a study about how to use the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as a tool, which is applied to commercial banks' performance management system.
Abstract: Performance management plays a pivotal task in evaluating the strategic performance of commercial banks. This paper makes a study about how to use the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) as a tool, which is applied to commercial banks’ performance management system. It also points out that, BSC makes a way into the imperfections of the traditional single application of financial indicators which measures performance. BSC is a performance management appraisal system based not only on the financial aspects but also on non-financial aspects like customer factors, internal business processes, and employee learning and growth. The purpose of this study is to contribute to the understanding of how BSC is developed and applied in evaluating the performance of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), a foreign bank in India. Using the concepts of Kaplan and Norton, and the data made available from the bank’s financial and non-financial data, BSC was derived to measure the performance of the foreign bank in India during 2009-2012. The analysis assisted the cause-effect relationships between the non-financial, and the financial dimensions of the BSC. The use of the BSC developed here is limited to the bank studied. However, the approach could trigger off reflections among policy makers and other banks to start using the BSC.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the time delay between optical and near-infrared (NIR) flux variations in H0507+164, a nearby Seyfert 1.5 galaxy at z = 0.018.
Abstract: The time delay between flux variations in different wavelength bands can be used to probe the inner regions of active galactic nuclei (AGN). Here, we present the first measurements of the time delay between optical and near-infrared (NIR) flux variations in H0507+164, a nearby Seyfert 1.5 galaxy at z = 0.018. The observations in the optical V -band and NIR J, H and Ks bands carried over 35 epochs during the period October 2016 to April 2017 were used to estimate the inner radius of the dusty torus. From a careful reduction and analysis of the data using cross-correlation techniques, we found delayed responses of the J, H and Ks light curves to the V -band light curve. In the rest frame of the source, the lags between optical and NIR bands are found to be $27.1^{+13.5}_{-12.0}$ days (V vs. J), $30.4^{+13.9}_{-12.0}$ days (V vs. H) and $34.6^{+12.1}_{-9.6}$ days (V vs. K ). The lags between the optical and different NIR bands are thus consistent with each other. The measured lags indicate that the inner edge of dust torus is located at a distance of 0.029 pc from the central UV/optical AGN continuum. This is larger than the radius of the broad line region of this object determined from spectroscopic monitoring observations thereby supporting the unification model of AGN. The location of H0507+164 in the {\tau} - MV plane indicates that our results are in excellent agreement with the now known lag-luminosity scaling relationship for dust in AGN.
