TL;DR: In this paper, two new configurations for realizing high input impedance voltage-mode universal biquadratic filters are presented, which can realize all the standard filter functions, that is, highpass, bandpass, lowpass, notch and allpass filters.
Abstract: Two new configurations for realizing high input impedance voltage-mode universal biquadratic filters are presented. Each proposed universal biquadratic filter with three inputs is composed of three plus-type CCIIs and can realize all the standard filter functions, that is, highpass, bandpass, lowpass, notch and allpass filters. In spite of the active components, the first proposed configuration uses five passive components, the second proposed configuration uses three capacitors and three resistors. The use of only plus-type CCIIs simplifies the configurations.

TL;DR: In this article, the reaction between the silanol group of silica and the oxirane ring of epoxy compounds was performed through FTIR and 1H NMR, and the occurrence of the surface functionalization and the chemical structures of the resulting products were characterized with energy dispersive x-ray spectrometry.
Abstract: Chemical functionalization on nano-scaled silica particles was performed through the reaction between the silanol group of silica and the oxirane ring of epoxy compounds. The occurrence of the surface functionalization and the chemical structures of the resulting products were characterized with FTIR and 1H NMR. Energy dispersive x-ray spectrometry and transmission electronic micrography observation on the silica particles also confirmed the surface functionalization. This approach provides another method to organically functionalize nano-scaled silica particles and can be applied to the preparation of organic–inorganic nanocomposites.

TL;DR: A voltage-mode low-pass, band- pass, and high-pass filter with single Input and three outputs, employing only two compound current conveyors, two grounded capacitors, and three resistors, is proposed.
Abstract: A voltage-mode low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filter with single Input and three outputs, employing only two compound current conveyors, two grounded capacitors, and three resistors, is proposed. The proposed circuit offers the following advantageous features: realization of voltage-mode low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass filter responses from the same configuration; no requirement of critical component matching conditions; employment of grounded capacitors ideal for integration; low sensitivity characteristics; and simpler configuration due to the use of only two compound current conveyors.

TL;DR: The most successful descriptions of such nuclei have neglected the many-body nature of the problem, replacing it instead with some form of single-particle field, often deformed, always violating fundamental symmetries that must be restored through projection.
Abstract: The bulk of contemporary research in nuclear structure physics deals with nuclei that are at least moderately collective in their low-lying statesThese are usually well removed from closed shells and constitute a difficult theoretical problem The most successful descriptions of such nuclei have neglected the many-body nature of the problem, replacing it instead with some form of single-particle field, often deformed, always violating fundamental symmetries that must be restored through projection Such approaches allow calculations that otherwise would have been impossible, and have been central to the rapid advance in quantitative descriptions of nuclear structure
