Abstract: In our research, glass was used as a substrate for an H + ion sensitive field effect transistor (ISFET). The sensitive characteristics of five structures for separate extended gate ion sensitive field effect transistors (EGFET) were studied. The components included tin oxide (SnO 2 )/aluminum/micro slide glass, tin oxide/aluminum/corning glass, indium tin oxide (ITO) glass, tin oxide/indium tin oxide glass and tin oxide/micro slide glass. Indium tin oxide (ITO) thin film was first time used as an H + ion sensitive film, which has a linear pH Nerstern response sensitivity, about 58 mV/pH, between pH 2 and 12. In addition, the sensing area effect of the tin oxide/glass, tin oxide/ITO glass and ITO glass structure is discussed. The results show that the tin oxide/ITO glass structure EGFET has the best drift, hysteresis and sensing area characteristics.

TL;DR: The proposed vector quantizer (VQ) in the wavelet domain for the compression of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals outperforms many recently published methods, including the best one known as the set partitioning in hierarchical trees.
Abstract: In this paper, we propose a novel vector quantizer (VQ) in the wavelet domain for the compression of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. A vector called tree vector (TV) is formed first in a novel structure, where wavelet transformed (WT) coefficients in the vector are arranged in the order of a hierarchical tree. Then, the TVs extracted from various WT subbands are collected in one single codebook. This feature is an advantage over traditional WT-VQ methods, where multiple codebooks are needed and are usually designed separately because numerical ranges of coefficient values in various WT subbands are quite different. Finally, a distortion-constrained codebook replenishment mechanism is incorporated into the VQ, where codevectors can be updated dynamically, to guarantee reliable quality of reconstructed ECG waveforms. With the proposed approach both visual quality and the objective quality in terms of the percent of root-mean-square difference (PRD) are excellent even in a very low bit rate. For the entire 48 records of Lead II ECG data in the MIT/BIH database, an average PRD of 7.3% at 146 b/s is obtained. For the same test data under consideration, the proposed method outperforms many recently published ones, including the best one known as the set partitioning in hierarchical trees.

TL;DR: The fluorescence of AIE-luminogens changes dramatically below and over Tv, providing an accurate method to measure Tv without the interference of external force, and according to this method, Tv is independent of catalyst loading.
Abstract: Vitrimers are one kind of covalently crosslinked polymers that can be reprocessed. Topology freezing transition temperature (Tv) is vitrimer's upper limit temperature for service and lower temperature for recycle. However, there has been no proper method to detect the intrinsic Tv till now. Even worse, current testing methods may lead to a misunderstanding of vitrimers. Here we provide a sensitive and universal method by doping or swelling aggregation-induced-emission (AIE) luminogens into vitrimers. The fluorescence of AIE-luminogens changes dramatically below and over Tv, providing an accurate method to measure Tv without the interference of external force. Moreover, according to this method, Tv is independent of catalyst loading. The opposite idea has been kept for a long time. This method not only is helpful for the practical application of vitrimers so as to reduce white wastes, but also may facilitate deep understanding of vitrimers and further development of functional polymer materials.
