TL;DR: In this article, the authors studied high-resolution microfaunal and geochernical proxy records in a well-dated core (SK-17) from the present day Oxygen Minimurn Zone (OMZ) in the Indian margin off Goa, to infer the varabi1tty of productivitya nd OMZ intensity in the last 30 ka.
Abstract: We studied high -resolution microfaunal (absolute abundances of planktic foraminifera and pteropods and relative abundance of G bulloides ) and geochemical(C org wt %) proxy records in a well-dated core (SK-17) from the present day Oxygen Minimurn Zone (OMZ)) In the Indian margin off Goa, to infer the varabi1tty of productivitya nd OMZ intensity in the last 30 ka The microfaunal and geochernical proxy records indicate three distinct regimes of monsoon-related varablility, viz, thelate glacial, the deglacial and the Holocene The late glacial records exhbit millennial scale changes, for e g , low productivity duribg the cold Heinrich Events, which can be llnked with a weaker SW monsoon Our record demonstrates a generally low productivlty during the deglacia1 period from Termination IA to the beginning of the Holocene The biological productivity was higher in the Late Holocene as evidenced by the well larninated sediments with high contents of C org and planktic foraminifera The record of preservation and loss of aragontic pteropod shells In core SK 17 1s linked with vanations in the OMZ intenstty and Aragonite Compensation Depth (ACD) The core site appears to have remained below the ACD since 7 ka The pteropod abundance maxima of the Heinrich periods and the Younger Dryas (YD) suggest a weaker OMZ and deeper ACD during these periods The chronology of these millennial scale cycles indicates that they are synchronous with nsuch events recorded in the western Arabian Sea.

TL;DR: 5-year follow-up data show that preoperative circulating prostate cells are an independent prognosis factor of recurrence, and tumour handling induces cancer-cell seeding but surgical blood dissemination does not accelerate cancer evolution.
Abstract: In clinically organ-confined prostate cancer patients, bloodstream tumour cell dissemination generally occurs, and may be enhanced by surgical prostate manipulation. To evaluate cancer-cell seeding impact upon patient recurrence-free survival, 155 patients were prospectively enrolled then followed. Here, 57 patients presented blood prostate cell shedding preoperatively and intraoperatively (group I). Of the 98 preoperatively negative patients, 53 (54%) remained negative (group II) and 45 (46%) became intraoperatively positive (group III). Median biological and clinical recurrence-free time was far shorter in group I (36.2 months, P<0.0001) than in group II (69.6 months) but did not significantly differ in group II and III (69.6 months vs 65.0). Such 5-year follow-up data show that preoperative circulating prostate cells are an independent prognosis factor of recurrence. Moreover, tumour handling induces cancer-cell seeding but surgical blood dissemination does not accelerate cancer evolution.

TL;DR: In this paper, the properties of natural rubber/reclaimed rubber blends were studied and the minimum torque values of the blends were lower than that of the gum compound and the cure rate was lower than those of the virgin compounds.
Abstract: Cure characteristics and mechanical properties of natural rubber/reclaimed rubber blends were studied. The minimum torque values of the blends were lower than that of the gum compound. The (maximum–minimum torque) and scorch time decreased with increasing reclaim content. The cure rate of the blends were lower than that of the virgin compounds. The tear strength was improved by the addition of reclaimed rubber. Tensile strength, elongation at break, and resilience decreased with increasing reclaim loading. The heat buildup was higher for the blends.
