20 Sep 2021TL;DR: In this article, the sliding mode controller (SMC)-based field oriented control (FOC) for brushless direct current (BLDC) motor, and in later part investigated the speed and position estimation using higher order sliding mode observer (HOSMO), which may come as a solution for sensorless operation.
Abstract: This work propose the sliding mode controller (SMC)-based field oriented control (FOC) for brushless direct current (BLDC) motor, and in later part investigated the speed and position estimation using higher order sliding mode observer (HOSMO), which may come as a solution for sensorless operation. The main idea of this work is to improve the dynamic response and reduce torque ripples in the BLDC motor with the proposed techniques. Speed tracking performance has been analyzed with different statistical performance and torque ripples with percentage variation with respect to the applied external torque. Further, rotor position and speed estimation using HOSMO is validated against real-time measured values and checked for percentage error. To validate the results of proposed approach, the SMC with HOSMO is implemented on a STM32Nucleo-144 development board and its performance is analyzed by hardware-in-the-loop co-simulations for reference tracking. Results shows that the designed SMC is a promising candidate for the BLDC motor control, with characteristics of improved speed tracking response for a wide speed range with minimum values for error performance indices and torque ripples are reduced by 5.84%.

14 Nov 2013TL;DR: Fractional order PIλ controller is designed and it is compared with classical integer order PI controller, which presents the control of AUV's speed, depth and steering.
Abstract: Autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) system is complex and highly nonlinear, the controller design for AUV is always a crucial task. Improving the performance of AUV in such applications as seafloor mapping, oil and gas exploration and defense requires improving the vehicle's maneuvering precision. These goals can be achieved through the improvement of the vehicle control system. This paper presents the control of AUV's speed, depth and steering. Fractional order PIλ controller is designed and it is compared with classical integer order PI controller.

17 May 2019TL;DR: A more robust approach of fuzzy logic control for such complex systems, where FLC is designed and then combined with PID using MATLAB and the system responses are compared in the simulation environment.
Abstract: Distillation column is an integral process component where better control means minor compromise in the quality leading to lower energy consumption, which is difficult to achieve in a non linear MIMO system. The traditional PID technique finds difficulty in achieving the setpoint for this nonlinear system with substantial time delays. The objective of this paper is to present a more robust approach of fuzzy logic control for such complex systems, where FLC is designed and then combined with PID using MATLAB and the system responses are compared in the simulation environment. This control algorithm delivers a stable transient and dynamic response for the desired products.

01 Aug 2016TL;DR: A new scheme for online fraud transaction prevention using extended visual cryptography and QR codes is proposed, which provides security for online users and detecting the phishing websites.
Abstract: Now a days many people are doing online financial transactions. This transaction needs to be secure. There are various attacks present behind this. Phishing is one type of attack. For detecting this attack, various anti-phishing mechanisms are used. In phishing process, suppose cheater sends out thousands of phishing emails with a link to the fake website. Victims click on links in email believing it is legitimate. They enter personal information on that fake website. Fraudsters collect the stolen data and login into correct website. This is an overall process of phishing. We propose a new scheme for online fraud transaction prevention using extended visual cryptography and QR codes. This scheme uses extended visual cryptography for share generation. One time password is used for phishing website detection. Extended visual cryptography is used for converting the QR code into two shares. The system provides security for online users and detecting the phishing websites.
