TL;DR: In this paper, a modified Co-Planar Waveguide (CPW) transmission line with Periodic Defected Ground Structures (DGSs) is proposed, which can be used as a high speed microwave channel for embedded antennas.
Abstract: This paper proposes a modified Co-Planar Waveguide (CPW) transmission line with Periodic Defected Ground Structures which can be used as a high-speed microwave channel for embedded antennas. CPW ground surface is modified by making slots of various shapes. The modified CPW channels are found suitable for Wi-MAX applications and a particular shape of DGS unit cell can be selected depending on the bandwidth requirement. The CPW transmission line with circular shaped DGS cells of two columns offer a remarkable value of the transmission coefficient of 0.89022 (− 1.01 dB) therefore it is fabricated and tested. It is observed that both the simulated and tested results agree with each other.

TL;DR: The congestion control in DTN is the area under the research because as DTN tries to establish a network in an unfavorable environment where network infrastructure is not available then the high priority messages must not be dropped because it will affect the overall objective of DTN, as some of the application areas are highly sensitive.
Abstract: In Delay Tolerant Network (DTN), the available resources like buffer size, bandwidth etc., are limited and easily gets consumed, which results in network congestion and adversely affects the overall network performance, Due to its network characteristics and custody transfer mechanism the standard TCP congestion control mechanism is not suitable for DTN. The congestion control in DTN is the area under the research because as DTN tries to establish a network in an unfavorable environment where network infrastructure is not available and if it succeeds then the high priority messages must not be dropped because it will affect the overall objective of DTN, as some of the application areas are highly sensitive. Some of the congestion control strategies have been discussed, compared after which a CASE routing algorithm is proposed by studying them.

TL;DR: A graph based method to find query specific multi-document summarization by performing keyword search on the document graph and search a minimum top spanning tree for finding relevant nodes that satisfy the keyword search.
Abstract: Recently the focus of query independent summary is shifted to query specific document summarization. This paper presents a graph based method to find query specific multi-document summarization. Our system is divided into two stages, off-line and on-line. We construct document as graph by considering paragraph as nodes in off-line stage. Edge scores are represented node similarities. In online stage, query specific weight are calculated and assigned to node. We then perform keyword search on the document graph and search a minimum top spanning tree for finding relevant nodes that satisfy the keyword search. Resultant summary looks coherent due to simultaneous cluster and sentence ranking. Experimental results for multi-document scenarios are encouraging.

TL;DR: A comprehensive survey has been conducted on some state-of-the-art document image binarization techniques and it has been found out that the adaptive contrast method is the best performing method.
Abstract: Document image binarization is performed to segment foreground text from background text in badly degraded documents. In this paper, a comprehensive survey has been conducted on some state-of-the-art document image binarization techniques. After describing these document images binarization techniques, their performance have been compared with the help of various evaluation performance metrics which are widely used for document image analysis and recognition. On the basis of this comparison, it has been found out that the adaptive contrast method is the best performing method. Accordingly, the partial results that we have obtained for the adaptive contrast method have been stated and also the mathematical model and block diagram of the adaptive contrast method has been described in detail.
