TL;DR: In this article, a hybrid approach has been proposed which uses combination of image encryption and image hiding, PSNR and MSE are used for measuring quality of image and LSB technique is used as it is faster, simple and bit manipulated.
Abstract: In the current technology world, data transmission of various multimedia like sensitive images, video, text is very important and security is major concern in the fields of medical, commercial and military fields. Security is very important, as illegal users may hack the sensitive data. Currently, many techniques are available for secure transmission of data through internet. Some examples of such techniques are cryptography and steganography. In Cryptography, DES, 3DES, AES, Blowfish Algorithm are available. In this paper Image encryption is done using Blowfish Algorithm as it is faster and has good performance and for image hiding LSB technique is used as it is faster, simple and Bit manipulated. To provide higher security, hybrid approach has been proposed which uses combination of image encryption and image hiding. PSNR and MSE are used for measuring quality of image.

TL;DR: In this article, the dielectric, thermal, and microhardness properties of high-performance barium titanate (BaTiO3)-filled polyetheretherketone (PEEK) composites were studied.
Abstract: Dielectric, thermal, and microhardness properties of high-performance barium titanate (BaTiO3)-filled polyetheretherketone (PEEK) composites were studied. BaTiO3 was varied from 0 vol.% to 67 vol.% in the PEEK matrix. The dielectric constant of the composites measured at 1 MHz increased approximately 14-fold. There was no dispersion in the dielectric constant with frequency between 10 kHz and 15 MHz. The Lichtenecker equation and modified Lichtenecker equation agreed well with the experimental data. The dissipation factor of the composites varied from 0.0056 to 0.0096. Scanning electron microscopy showed uniform dispersion of BaTiO3 in the matrix. The microhardness of the composites increased by more than 2.5-fold compared with pure PEEK. The coefficient of thermal expansion measured below and above the glass-transition temperature was reduced by up to 56%. These results make these composites promising candidate high-temperature organic substrates.

TL;DR: This paper proposes a technique for masked face detection using four different steps of estimating distance from camera, eye line detection, facial part detection and eye detection, thereby making real time implementation feasible.
Abstract: Security being of utmost importance, video surveillance has become an active research topic. Video analytics enhance video surveillance systems by performing tasks of real time event detection and post-event analysis. This can save human resources, cost and increase the effectiveness of the surveillance system operation. One of the common requirements of Video Analytics for security is to detect presence of a masked person automatically. In this paper, we propose a technique for masked face detection using four different steps of estimating distance from camera, eye line detection, facial part detection and eye detection. The paper outlines the principles used in each of these steps and the use of commonly available algorithms of people detection and face detection. This unique approach for the problem has created a method simpler in complexity thereby making real time implementation feasible. Analysis of the algorithm's performance on test video sequences gives useful insights to further improvements in the masked face detection performance.

TL;DR: In this paper, a study has been carried out on vehicle mounted hydraulically operated system used for articulation of heavy article, after making the platform levelled with outrigger cylinders.
Abstract: Oil contamination is the major source of failure and wear of hydraulic system components. As per literature survey, approximately 70 % of hydraulic system failures are caused by oil contamination. Hence, to operate the hydraulic system reliably, the hydraulic oil should be of perfect condition. This requires a proper ‘Contamination Management System’ which involves monitoring of various parameters like oil viscosity, oil temperature, contamination level etc. A study has been carried out on vehicle mounted hydraulically operated system used for articulation of heavy article, after making the platform levelled with outrigger cylinders. It is observed that by proper monitoring of contamination level, there is considerably increase in reliability, economy in operation and long service life. This also prevents the frequent failure of hydraulic system.

TL;DR: The paper proposes design and implementation of fractional order sliding mode control (FOSMC) for a fractional orders model of a single link flexible manipulator (SFLM) and the efficacy of the method is illustrated using MATLAB Simulink.
Abstract: The paper proposes design and implementation of fractional order sliding mode control (FOSMC) for a fractional order model of a single link flexible manipulator (SFLM). Novelty of the paper lies in modeling the plant with fractional order dynamics in non-commensurate order. This model is validated through experimentation. In this study, a fractional order sliding surface is introduced to SLFM which is a typical nonlinear under actuated system. The stability of the fractional order sliding mode controller is proved. The performance and robustness of the proposed method are tested for parametric uncertainties and external disturbances. The efficacy of the method is illustrated using MATLAB Simulink.
