TL;DR: To extract key frame from video, haar wavelet transform with various levels and Thepade's sorted pentnary block truncation coding is used and the increase in accuracy is observed till Haar wavelets of level 5, then higher levels have shown drop in accuracy.
Abstract: Due to advance growth in videos available across the internet, it is required to navigate and handle them properly. It is essential to select only valuable and accurate information from video. Video summarization helps in acquiring essential information. Video summary produces concise and exact data of the video. With help of key frame extraction video summary can be generated. Key frames from video represent main content of video. In the proposed methodology, to extract key frame from video, haar wavelet transform with various levels and Thepade's sorted pentnary block truncation coding is used. For experimentation purpose test bed of 30 videos is used here. To measure the diversity among successive frames various similarity measures are used. Alias Canberra distance, Sorencen distance, Wavehedge distance, Euclidean distance and mean square error similarity measures are used. The Euclidean distance has given better performance. The increase in accuracy is observed till Haar wavelet of level 5, then higher levels have shown drop in accuracy.

TL;DR: The proposed scheme is seen to be robust to uncertainties in seat frame suspension, passenger mass, and cabin suspension and compared with passive suspension, linear quadratic regulator-based active seat suspension, and conventional active cabin suspension using the evaluation norms set by ISO-2631.
Abstract: In this paper, an active seat suspension system that is robust to uncertainties and unknown road profiles is designed using a state and disturbance observer. The controller which needs the measurement of just the seat frame position is analyzed with a 4-degree-of-freedom biodynamic model of the passenger for performance and stability. The proposed scheme is validated by simulation for a variety of road profiles under various uncertainties and compared with passive suspension, linear quadratic regulator-based active seat suspension, and conventional active cabin suspension using the evaluation norms set by ISO-2631. The proposed scheme is seen to be robust to uncertainties in seat frame suspension, passenger mass, and cabin suspension.

TL;DR: This paper proposed an algorithm to improve image security and its authority for its owner by means of watermarking and encryption technique and has used blind watermark extraction technique for extraction of the watermark.
Abstract: This paper proposed an algorithm to improve image security and its authority for its owner. This has been achieved by means of watermarking and encryption technique. Two methods RC4 and Advances Encryption Standard (AES) are adopted for encryption which uses stream cipher and block cipher respectively. For getting the watermarked image Rational Dither Modulation (RDM) method is used. First step of the algorithm is to embed the watermark and then the watermarked image is encrypted using secret key of the encryption technique. We have used blind watermark extraction technique for extraction of the watermark. Performance of the watermarking and encryption techniques is investigated for robustness, perceptual quality and security of the proposed algorithm.

TL;DR: A novel technique for Feature Extraction (FE) has been presented here and potential usefulness of EMD based techniques is reported here, which is a new technique for adaptively decomposing signals.
Abstract: Human emotion recognition is a hot research topic in medical and engineering field to provide interface between users and computers. A novel technique for Feature Extraction (FE) has been presented here. This method is feasible for analyzing the nonlinear and non-stationary signals like electrocardiogram signal (ECG), Electromyogram (EMG) etc. We have used electrocardiogram signal as an input, each signal has important functions, which has been extracted by applying empirical decomposition method. These functions are used to extract the features using fission and fusion process. The features extracted from every IMF are used to compose feature vector. The extracted features are useful to recognize human emotions from ECG signal. The decomposition technique which we adopt is a new technique for adaptively decomposing signals. In this perspective, we have reported here potential usefulness of EMD based techniques. We evaluated the algorithm on Augsburg University Database; the manually annotated database.
