TL;DR: Analytical model which approximates the FEA model while preserving the accuracy of the system is necessary to reduce development time of Switched Reluctance Motor.
Abstract: This paper presents the analytical Modeling of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) based on the data obtained from Finite Element Analysis(FEA) tool Ansys Maxwell. Once the design of the machine is done in FEA tool then before manufacturing the actual machine it is necessary to test its dynamic performance. Testing of dynamic performance involves the operation of the motor with different control strategy for various loading and speed condition. Use of FEA model in such a testing takes a lot of time so it is time-consuming in the development of the machine. So analytical model which approximates the FEA model while preserving the accuracy of the system is necessary to reduce development time. This paper derives the non-linear mathematical model of 7.5kW, 8/6 SRM. This modeling is based on an approximation of phase self-inductance using Fourier Series (FS) approach with the help of data obtained from FEA tool. The dependence of phase self inductance on rotor position is incorporated in the developed mathematical model using FS terms and coefficients of series are taken as a polynomial function of current to account for the nonlinear variation of inductance with respect to current. To improve the accuracy of model five FS terms are used instead of three. Polynomial fit used for approximation of inductance variation as a function of current is split into two polynomial equations to accommodate the wide variation of inductance with a current. This mathematical model is developed in MATLAB-Simulink environment and hysteresis controller is designed to control the current flowing through the winding of machine. For validation of MATLAB model static and dynamic inductance profile, dynamic torque, flux, and phase current obtained from the model are compared with simulation done in FEA tool.

TL;DR: This paper talks about an approach to validate data between cross platform databases using denormalized schema structures and bloom filters and has been able to validate huge datasets and pinpoint the exact corrupted records in constant space and linear time complexity up to a desired error probability.
Abstract: Data — structured, semi-structured and unstructured is growing at an exponential rate. Most organizations are dependent on this huge volume of data to make real time decisions. To provide accurate information to these decision making models, it is crucial that the data is of superior quality. Since most organizations are migrating from relational to NoSQL databases, it is vital to validate data after the migration process. Considering the different structures of the two databases, the process of validation is a formidable task. This paper talks about an approach to validate data between cross platform databases using denormalized schema structures and bloom filters. Based on our experimental results, we have been able to validate huge datasets and pinpoint the exact corrupted records in constant space and linear time complexity up to a desired error probability.

TL;DR: This research work suggests the modification of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol with two new concepts, first one is Maintenance of Routing Information Table and second is Reliability checking of a node.
Abstract: Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of communication devices or nodes that wish to communicate without any fixed infrastructure and predetermined organization of available links. Security is a major challenge for these networks due to their features of open medium, dynamically changing topologies. The black hole attack is a well known security threat in mobile ad hoc networks. However, it spuriously replies for any route request without having any active route to the specified destination. Sometimes the Black Hole Nodes cooperate with each other with the aim of dropping packets these are known as Cooperative Black Hole attack. This research work suggests the modification of Ad Hoc on Demand Distance Vector Routing Protocol. we are going to use a mechanism for detecting as well as defending against a cooperative black hole attack. This work suggest two new concepts, first one is Maintenance of Routing Information Table and second is Reliability checking of a node. This system also decreases the end to end delay and Routing overhead.

TL;DR: A framework for making home automation achievable across a smart city in a scalable and data efficient manner with end to end home automation suite with modular implementation using open source components.
Abstract: Today home automation is quite common in developed nations. Remote access of appliances and devices in a home is provided via the internet. The challenge lies in making the system smart and deployable in a scalable manner across an entire city in a developing nation. This paper proposes a framework for making home automation achievable across a smart city in a scalable and data efficient manner. We have proposed an end to end home automation suite with modular implementation using open source components. The backend implemented supports multiple IoT protocols and the system is horizontally scalable. The ‘Rules engine’ implemented analyzes the data real time thus triggering various actions pre-decided by users. The system involves energy monitoring for enabling judicial energy consumption in a home. Unlike smart-meters, which give data about total energy consumption per house, the proposed solution is an innovative way to get fairly accurate analysis of per device consumption. A single system can be deployed and can handle data coming from homes for an entire city. The implemented system includes web-dashboard and android application for monitoring the consumption. The scalable architecture used ensures that there will be no problem handling data traffic as number of users increase. Experiments on the prototype system showed low latency for real time analytics even with large simultaneous data streams. The unique features of this system are its modular & dynamic nature, scalability and real time analytics for quick decision making.
