TL;DR: In this article, a comparative study of the accuracy between homotopy analysis method (HAM) and nHAM for the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) and Burgers' equations is presented.
Abstract: This article presents a comparative study of the accuracy between homotopy analysis method (HAM) and a new technique of homotopy analysis method (nHAM) for the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) and Burgers' equations. The resulted HAM and nHAM solutions at 8th-order and 6th-order approximations are then compared with that of the exact soliton solutions of KdV and Burgers' equations, respectively. These results are shown to be in excellent agreement with the exact soliton solution. However, the result of HAM solution is ratified to be more accurate than the nHAM solution, which conforms to the existing finding.

TL;DR: In this article, numerical simulation is applied to study the distinctive features of the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) effect on laminar-turbulent transition on a flat plate in the presence of disturbances in the external flow.
Abstract: Numerical simulation is applied to study the distinctive features of the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) effect on laminar-turbulent transition on a flat plate in the presence of disturbances in the external flow. The density distributions of the electric force and the discharge power acting on the gas are assumed to be uniform within the given discharge volume. To model the external disturbances the value of the turbulent viscosity in the differential model used is assumed to be nonzero at the boundary layer edge.

TL;DR: In this paper, an efficient implementation of the Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) for numerical simulation of the generation tsunamis, based on Elastic wave equation and P-wave equation is presented.
Abstract: An efficient implementation of the Lattice Boltzmann method (LBM) for the numerical simulation of the generation tsunamis, based on Elastic wave equation and P-wave equation is presented. It is provided two examples where the scheme is used to model mechanisms for the generation of seismic waves. Numerical results show good agreement with the theory.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of the Mach number and temperature at the nozzle exit on the flow features, turbulent fluctuations of the velocity, the static pressure, and the temperature, together with the overall noise level is analyzed for all the jets considered.
Abstract: The flow, turbulence, and noise parameters of cold and hot jets flowing out of nozzles of different types at subsonic and supersonic velocities are calculated using the high-resolution RANS/ILES method. The effect of the Mach number and the temperature at the nozzle exit on the flow features, the turbulent fluctuations of the velocity, the static pressure, and the temperature, together with the overall noise level is analyzed for all the jets considered. The accuracy of the calculations is confirmed by means of comparing with the available experimental data concerning certain parameters.
