TL;DR: In this paper, the current design method for road and railway platforms in areas subject to localized sinkholes requires the use of specific reinforcements, for example, geosynthetics, which is the same as the one used in this paper.
Abstract: Construction of road and railway platforms in areas subject to localized sinkholes requires the use of specific reinforcements, for example, geosynthetics. The current design method for these struc...

TL;DR: Examination of the physiological activity of flavonoids in relation to their antiscorbutic properties shows that some of these compounds, the flavan-3=ols, have a particular nutritional impact and consequently should be distinguished from the rest of the flavonoid and polyphenolds.
Abstract: Examination of the physiological activity of flavonoids in relation to their antiscorbutic properties shows that some of these compounds, the flavan-3=ols, have a particular nutritional impact and consequently should be distinguished from the rest of the flavonoids and polyphenolds. Therefore, the use of the term ‘Vitamin P’ and ‘Bioflavonoids’ is also discussed.

Abstract: We present a scheme of a compact atomic gravimeter based on atom interferometry. Atoms are maintained against gravity using a sequence of coherent accelerations performed by the Bloch oscillations technique. We demonstrate a sensitivity of $4.8\ifmmode\times\else\texttimes\fi{}{10}^{\ensuremath{-}8}$ with an integration time of 4 min. Combining this method with an atomic elevator allows us to measure the local gravity at different positions in the vacuum chamber. This method can be of relevance to improve the measurement of the Newtonian gravitational constant $G$.

TL;DR: It is suggested that surface-adsorbed cations significantly increase the sorption of SMX, which strongly supports the hypothetical formation of ternary SMX-Cu-soil complexes.
