Abstract: A hybrid graphene-TiO2 nanocomposites have been prepared by a facile hydrothermal method to improve the photocatalytic performance and applied for synergetic degradation of fluoroquinolone antibiotic in pulsed discharge plasma (PDP) system. The characterizations of the structure and morphology, chemical bonding state, optical property and electrochemical property show that the graphene-TiO2 nanocomposites can be hybridized successfully. Compared to the pure TiO2, the light absorption range can extend to visible light ( OH, h+ and O2− play the critical role for FLU degradation in PDP/graphene-TiO2 system. The graphene-TiO2 samples can further decompose the O3 and improve the generation of OH and H2O2. The degradation intermediates are determined by LC–MS and IC. The toxicity evolution of FLU reaction solutions is evaluated based on inhibition of photobacterium V. fischeri. Finally, the FLU degradation mechanism in the PDP/graphene-TiO2 system is proposed. This research would provide a novel insight into the application of graphene-based nanocomposites in PDP system as a promising remediation methodology for organic contaminants in water.

TL;DR: In this article, a class of axisymmetric thin-walled square (ATS) tubes with two types of geometries (straight and tapered) and two kinds of cross-sections (singlecell and multi-cell) are considered as energy absorbing components under oblique impact loading.
Abstract: In this paper, a class of axisymmetric thin-walled square (ATS) tubes with two types of geometries (straight and tapered) and two kinds of cross-sections (single-cell and multi-cell) are considered as energy absorbing components under oblique impact loading. The crash behavior of the four types of ATS tubes, namely single-cell straight (SCS), single-cell tapered (SCT), multi-cell straight (MCS) and multi-cell tapered (MCT), are first investigated by nonlinear finite element analysis through LS-DYNA. It is found that the MCT tube has the best crashworthiness performance under oblique impact regarding both specific energy absorption (SEA) and peak crushing force (PCF). Sampling designs of the MCT tube are created based on a four-level full factorial design of experiments (DoE) method. Parametric studies are performed using the DoE results to investigate the influences of the geometric parameters on the crash performance of such MCT tubes under oblique impact loading. In addition, multiobjective optimization design (MOD) of the MCT tube is performed by adopting multiobjective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) algorithm to achieve maximum SEA capacity and minimum PCF with and without considering load angle uncertainty effect. During the MOD process, accurate surrogate models, more specifically, response surface (RS) models of SEA and PCF of the MCT tubes are established to reduce the computational cost of crash simulations by finite element method. It is found that the optimal designs of the MCT tubes are different under different load angles. It is also found that the weighting factors for different load angles are critical in the MOD of the MCT tubes with load angle uncertainty.

TL;DR: A novel scheme to guarantee the security of UAV-relayed wireless networks with caching via jointly optimizing the UAV trajectory and time scheduling and a benchmark scheme in which the minimum average secrecy rate among all users is maximized and no user has the caching ability.
Abstract: Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) can be utilized as a relay to connect nodes with long distance, which can achieve significant throughput gain owing to its mobility and line-of-sight (LoS) channel with ground nodes. However, such LoS channels make UAV transmission easy to eavesdrop. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme to guarantee the security of UAV-relayed wireless networks with caching via jointly optimizing the UAV trajectory and time scheduling. For every two users that have cached the required file for the other, the UAV broadcasts the files together to these two users, and the eavesdropping can be disrupted. For the users without caching, we maximize their minimum average secrecy rate by jointly optimizing the trajectory and scheduling, with the secrecy rate of the caching users satisfied. The corresponding optimization problem is difficult to solve due to its non-convexity, and we propose an iterative algorithm via successive convex optimization to solve it approximately. Furthermore, we also consider a benchmark scheme in which we maximize the minimum average secrecy rate among all users by jointly optimizing the UAV trajectory and time scheduling when no user has the caching ability. Simulation results are provided to show the effectiveness and efficiency of our proposed scheme.
