07 Jun 2017TL;DR: The framework suggests that in order to create a smart governance model, data governance and collaborative governance are the main drivers, supported by legal framework, normative factors, principles and values, methods, data assets or human resources, and IT infrastructure.
Abstract: This paper presents the preliminary framework proposed by the authors for drivers of Smart Governance. The research question of this study is: What are the drivers for Smart Governance to achieve evidence-based policy-making? The framework suggests that in order to create a smart governance model, data governance and collaborative governance are the main drivers. These pillars are supported by legal framework, normative factors, principles and values, methods, data assets or human resources, and IT infrastructure. These aspects will guide a real time evaluation process in all levels of the policy cycle, towards to the implementation of evidence-based policies.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that exchange coupling between small crystallites with easy-plane anisotropy induces an effective uniaxial anisotropic if arranged accordingly.
Abstract: Permanent magnet materials require a high uniaxial magneto-crystalline anisotropy. Exchange coupling between small crystallites with easy-plane anisotropy induces an effective uniaxial anisotropy if arranged accordingly. Nanostructuring of materials with easy-plane anisotropy is an alternative way to create hard-magnetic materials. The coercivity increases with decreasing feature size. The resulting coercive field is about 12 percent of the anisotropy field for a crystal size of 3.4 times the Bloch parameter.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the emergence of collaborative working patterns and the influence of personal traits on team performance and individual team member satisfaction using longitudinal data from a graduate course (with 97 students grouped into 18 teams) and concluded that combining information on team demographics and social networks might allow inferences into why certain teams perform better than others.
Abstract: Using longitudinal data from a graduate course (with 97 students grouped into 18 teams) we analyze the emergence of collaborative working patterns and the influence of personal traits on team performance and individual team member satisfaction. We find a positive effect of global centrality measures on individual satisfaction, while local centrality measures did not have a significant impact. Moreover, our results indicate that the aggregation of power within working teams is detrimental for team performance. When some individuals are in a position that allows them to exert power over others, the performance of teams suffers. On the contrary, betweenness centralization, which could enable some people to broker information across unconnected actors, could actually be beneficial for teams and increases overall performance. We conclude that combining information on team demographics and social networks might allow inferences into why certain teams perform better than others and into which areas human resourc...

TL;DR: No symptom change in the first half of iCBT for chronic tinnitus patients is a risk factor of not benefiting from iC BT, and the alliance duringiCBT was not associated with non-response.
Abstract: Although Internet-based cognitive behavior therapy (iCBT) is an effective treatment for chronic tinnitus, several patients do not improve. In the current study, baseline and process variables were ...
