TL;DR: A scalable method is shown for the fabrication of strong and highly conducting pure MXene films containing highly aligned large MXene flakes that provide an effective route for producing large-area, high-strength, and high-electrical-conductivity MXene-based films for future electronic applications.
Abstract: Free-standing films that display high strength and high electrical conductivity are critical for flexible electronics, such as electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding coatings and current collectors for batteries and supercapacitors. 2D Ti3 C2 Tx flakes are ideal candidates for making conductive films due to their high strength and metallic conductivity. It is, however, challenging to transfer those outstanding properties of single MXene flakes to macroscale films as a result of the small flake size and relatively poor flake alignment that occurs during solution-based processing. Here, a scalable method is shown for the fabrication of strong and highly conducting pure MXene films containing highly aligned large MXene flakes. These films demonstrate record tensile strength up to ≈570 MPa for a 940 nm thick film and electrical conductivity of ≈15 100 S cm-1 for a 214 nm thick film, which are both the highest values compared to previously reported pure Ti3 C2 Tx films. These films also exhibit outstanding EMI shielding performance (≈50 dB for a 940 nm thick film) that exceeds other synthetic materials with comparable thickness. MXene films with aligned flakes provide an effective route for producing large-area, high-strength, and high-electrical-conductivity MXene-based films for future electronic applications.

TL;DR: In this paper, a new augmented Dickey-Fuller-type test for unit roots which accounts for two structural breaks was proposed, where the breaks whose time of occurrence is assumed to be unknown are modeled as innovational outliers and thus take effect gradually.
Abstract: In this paper, we propose a new augmented Dickey–Fuller-type test for unit roots which accounts for two structural breaks We consider two different specifications: (a) two breaks in the level of a trending data series and (b) two breaks in the level and slope of a trending data series The breaks whose time of occurrence is assumed to be unknown are modeled as innovational outliers and thus take effect gradually Using Monte Carlo simulations, we show that our proposed test has correct size, stable power, and identifies the structural breaks accurately

TL;DR: The higher dose, very early mobilisation protocol was associated with a reduction in the odds of a favourable outcome at 3 months and should affect clinical practice by refining present guidelines; however, clinical recommendations should be informed by future analyses of dose-response associations.

TL;DR: The factors that shape attitudes toward violence against women are reviewed, offering a framework with which to comprehend the complex array of influences on attitudes toward violent behavior perpetrated by men against women.
Abstract: Attitudes toward men's violence against women shape both the perpetration of violence against women and responses to this violence by the victim and others around her. For these reasons, attitudes are the target of violence-prevention campaigns. To improve understanding of the determinants of violence against women and to aid the development of violence-prevention efforts, this article reviews the factors that shape attitudes toward violence against women. It offers a framework with which to comprehend the complex array of influences on attitudes toward violent behavior perpetrated by men against women. Two clusters of factors, associated with gender and culture, have an influence at multiple levels of the social order on attitudes regarding violence. Further factors operate at individual, organizational, communal, or societal levels in particular, although their influence may overlap across multiple levels. This article concludes with recommendations regarding efforts to improve attitudes toward violence against women.

TL;DR: A superhydrophobic fabric coating made of a crosslinked polydimethylsiloxane elastomer, containing well-dispersed hydrophobic silica nanoparticles and fluorinated alkyl silane shows remarkable durability against repeated machine washes, severe abrasion, strong acid or base, boiling water or beverages and excellent stain resistance.
