TL;DR: In-plane flexural vibration of a circular ring with large number of equally spaced supports is studied by making use of the property of the cyclic structure The Green's function yielding the radial displacement at any point in any one of the spans of the stiffened ring due to a concentrated load acting on any one the spans is developed Galerkin's technique has been used to solve the equation of motion as discussed by the authors.
