TL;DR: A marked decline in egg output and egg hatchability in reproductive pairs, was observed whose larvae were allowed to develop in a programmed manner in an environment, laden with combined action of selected volumes of neem and eucalyptus oil or when both the sexes were confined for the prescribed limited period.
Abstract: Combined action of neem (Azadiracta indica) and eucalyptus (Eucalyptus sp.) oil volatiles causes a sharp reduction in percent egg hatchability in rice moth, Corcyra cephalonica (Stainton) (Lepidoptera: pyralidae) when freshly laid eggs were exposed to these volatiles for 24 hours. A marked decline in egg output and egg hatchability in reproductive pairs, was observed whose larvae were allowed to develop in a programmed manner in an environment, laden with combined action of selected volumes of neem and eucalyptus oil or when both the sexes of these pyralids, were confined for the prescribed limited period, in such odorous environment. A significant reduction in glycogen, lipid and protein level and an increase in free amino acids was noticed in testes and ovaries of these pyralids, when breeding pairs were exposed to the selected volatiles for a period of six hours only.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors classify quasi-Sasakian 3-manifold with proper Ricci soliton and investigate its geometrical properties, and construct an example of non-existence of proper η-Ricci solitons on 3-dimensional quasi-sakian manifold.
Abstract: We classify quasi-Sasakian 3-manifold with proper η-Ricci soliton and investigate its geometrical properties. Certain results of Yamabe soliton on such manifold are also presented. Finally, we construct an example of non-existence of proper η-Ricci soliton on 3-dimensional quasi-Sasakian manifold to illustrate the results obtained in previous section of the paper.

TL;DR: The feasibility of using concentrated M. paradisiaca stem juice for the specific conversion of 4-chloroaniline to 4- chloronitrosobenzene has been demonstrated and this enzyme can be used for the N-oxidation of other arylamines.
Abstract: N-Oxidation of arylamines to their corresponding nitrosobenzenes using a new chloroperoxidase purified from Musa paradisiaca stem juice has been examined. The enzymatic characteristics of the stem chloroperoxidase using 4-chloroaniline as substrate were determined. The Km values for 4-chloroaniline and H2O2 were 770 μM and 154 μM respectively, while the pH and temperature optima were 4.4 and 30°C respectively. The substrate specificities of the enzyme for the arylamines 3,4-dichloroamine, p-aminobenzoic acid, p-toluidine, p-anisidine, m-anisidine, p-aminophenol, o-aminophenol and m-aminophenol have been characterized. The feasibility of using concentrated M. paradisiaca stem juice for the specific conversion of 4-chloroaniline to 4-chloronitrosobenzene has been demonstrated. This enzyme can be used for the N-oxidation of other arylamines.

TL;DR: Piper nigrum - the king of spices is originated in the Western Ghats of India and has reported to possess antioxidant activity that might be due to the presence of flavonoids and phenolic contents.
Abstract: Piper nigrum - the king of spices is originated in the Western Ghats of India. It has gained a global consideration because of its volume in the spice industry. It contains major pungent alkaloid piperine which is known to possess many interesting pharmacological actions. Medicinally black pepper can be used digestive disorder like large intestine toxins, different gastric problems, diarrohea and indigestion and also can be used against respiratory disorder including cold fever, asthama. Piperine exhibits diverse pharmacological activities like antihypertensive, antiplatelets, antioxidant, antitumor, antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, anti-diarrheal, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-reproductive, insecticidal activities. Piper nigrum also found to decrease lipid peroxidation in vivo . It has reported to possess antioxidant activity that might be due to the presence of flavonoids and phenolic contents.
