Abstract: By solving the problem of the theory of elasticity for a boundary dislocation with a cavity on its continuation, a stress-strain state in a solid crystalline body is determined. The correlation for calculating the energy of a body with a dislocation crack under pressure is obtained. The geometric parameters of a crack-like dislocation cavity are calculated. The values of equilibrium and non-equilibrium crack lengths are established on this basis. Also the value of the critical pressure at which the dislocation crack start begins is received. Stress intensity factors for the dislocation crack are obtained and calculated. Physical essence of fracture toughness is established using stress intensity factors.

Abstract: Purpose. The article, based on the analysis of actual materials, highlights the importance of taking into account the influence of the human factor in occurrence of emergency situations in terms of transport infrastructure. Methodology . The research is based on the interdisciplinary system analysis. It was comprehended how the service technicians of high-tech systems can create latent unsafe conditions that combined with other hazardous activities can cause an emergency and injury. The authors attempt to dramatize the issue in order to find a solution – on the one hand, man is the most crucial part of a complex technological system, on the other hand – he is the most unreliable part of the system, especially in terms of the extreme power of modern vehicles and their speeds. The above situation demonstrates the need for a new level of anthropic comprehension of the high-tech systems in the schematic set "human-system-environment". Originality . The paper analysed the problems and conditions of human factors that allow detecting the causes of technicians’ errors. The authors highlighted proposals for psychocorrective work among the personnel of the facilities. The problem of further development of continuous improvement of the equipment maintenance systems, based on integrated approach taking into account the human factor, is also not overlooked. Conclusion. In the course of understanding the human factor and its influence on the processes, the most urgent tasks are as follows: implementation of new system software, automation of vehicles and development of high production culture based on moral qualities of experts.

Abstract: Purpose. The analysis of the prerequisite appearing of the unfair competition in the market of research services to prevent raiding in science. Methodology . During the conducting of this study methods of scientific analysis and synthesis, the benchmarking method, the method of expert estimations were used. Findings. Possible methods of uncompetitive struggle during the performing of scientific research were examined. The urgency of this problem was proved. Therefore, the problem of the prerequisite appearing for incompetence on the market of research services and the task of its prevention and minimization of adverse effects for the development of science and technique is relevant, especially in the period of formation and the reform of the leading branches of the Ukrainian economy. The prerequisite appearing and conditions for the existence of incompetence in scientific activity were analyzed. The classification of the main ways of raiding was proposed and its justification was proved. Originality. The investigation of the phenomenon of unfair competition in the field of research services was pro-posed. The methods and means of competition between scientific organizations and individual scientists in some fields of knowledge were analyzed. The concept of "raiding" was introduced for the first time in the intellectual sphere. Practical value. The research results can be used to analyze the activity of scientific and engineering organizations, which carry out various studies to assess the validity and legitimacy of the obtained results, and to prevent raiding in science. The results of the study have practical value for public and private organizations in the determination of the competent performers to conduct research and development services, including expertise, and especially related to the evaluation of material losses or lost earnings when the impartiality and independence of this assessment is the guarantee of obtaining the reliable and objective results.

Abstract: The work deals with the thermodynamic analysis of the parameters of the gas in a closed volume with rigid walls, during its leakage and heat exchange with the environment. Based on the first law of thermodynamics, the law of Fick and the equation of the gas state, we obtained an equation that characterizes the effect of temperature gradient on the mass gas leakage in parallel processes of leakage and heat transfer. The regularity of the leakage coefficient change, determined by the diffusion coefficient, depending on the mass-average temperature in a closed thermodynamic system, is established. The variation of the leakage coefficient for the corresponding ranges of temperature gradients are shown. The research results can be implemented in the development of techniques and technologies for monitoring the tightness of hollow products under excessive pressure of the gas medium.
