Abstract: Purpose. Every year more attention is paid for the theoretical and practical issue of sustainable development of railway transport. But today the mechanisms of financial support of this development are poorly understood. Therefore, the aim of this article is to determine the optimal investment allocation to ensure sustainable development of the railway transport on the example of State Enterprise «Prydniprovsk Railway» and the creation of preconditions for the mathematical model development. Methodology. The ensuring task for sustainable development of railway transport is solved on the basis of the integral indicator of sustainable development effectiveness and defined as the maximization of this criterion. The optimization of measures technological and technical characters are proposed to carry out for increasing values of the integral performance measure components. To the optimization activities of technological nature that enhance the performance criteria belongs: optimization of the number of train and shunting locomotives, optimization of power handling mechanisms at the stations, optimization of routes of train flows. The activities related to the technical nature include: modernization of railways in the direction of their electrification and modernization of the running gear and coupler drawbars of rolling stock, as well as means of separators mechanization at stations to reduce noise impacts on the environment. Findings. The work resulted in the optimal allocation of investments to ensure the sustainable development of railway transportation of State Enterprise «Prydniprovsk Railway». This allows providing such kind of railway development when functioning of State Enterprise «Prydniprovsk Railway» is characterized by a maximum value of the integral indicator of efficiency. Originality. The work was reviewed and the new approach was proposed to determine the optimal allocation of capital investments to ensure sustainable development of the State Enterprise «Prydniprovsk Railway». Practical value. Structural reform of Ukrainian railway transport demands to solve problems to improve the efficiency of the industry in the shortest time. The proposed algorithm of investment allocation provides for such a directorate development, the implementation of which will lead to increase of functioning efficiency of the railway transportation directorate, which in turn will positively affect on the industry as a whole.

TL;DR: An improved scheme for controlling the heating of trackside chambers based on a microcontroller has been proposed, which allows automatical adjusting and maintains the temperature in the trackside chamber from 21 to 40°C, and gives the alarm signal when the thermistor fails and temperature fluctuates outside the set limits.
Abstract: Purpose. During the maintenance of equipment for overheated axleboxes detecting, the problem of the time consumption for manual measurement of the trackside chambers temperature appeared. This is impractical in the era of using electronic programmable devices. The purpose of this article is to improve the heating control scheme for trackside chambers of the microprocessor hardware complex, namely the subunit of the microprocessor thermostat, which is designed to maintain a stable temperature inside the trackside chambers. Methodology. The studies are based on statistical data obtained as a result of the operation of overheated axleboxes detection equipment. In the article the methods of circuit simulation to obtain a microelectronic scheme have been applied. Findings . The work has considered the problem of manual servicing overheated axlebox detection equipment. The necessity of automation measurement procedure, processing and transmission of data on the temperature of the trackside chamber has been determined. An electronic scheme based on a microcontroller has been developed, which allows you to react in case of appearance of possible temperature changes outside the specified limits. The performed calculations show that the proposed scheme significantly reduces the time for servicing the equipment and eliminates the human factor, which can influence the reliability of the readings during the temperature measuring. Originality. For the first time, an improved scheme for controlling the heating of trackside chambers based on a microcontroller has been proposed, which allows automatical adjusting and maintains the temperature in the trackside chamber from 21 to 40°C, and gives the alarm signal when the thermistor fails and temperature fluctuates outside the set limits. Practical value . The heating control scheme applying allows automation of temperature measurements inside the trackside chamber. This significantly reduces the maintenance time for overheated axlebox detection equipment, since it completely eliminates both the necessity for manual check of the temperature with a mercury thermometer between trains traffic and the necessity for manual adjusting the temperature in case of its discrepancy to the standards.

TL;DR: In this paper, a method of numerical calculation of nitrogen dioxide concentration in atmospheric air is based on the solution of three-dimensional impurity transfer equations, which directly comes from a permanently stationary source (industrial enterprise) and a linearly distributed source (highway).
Abstract: Purpose. The scientific paper is aimed at creating a methodology of chemical pollution zones in the territories of industrial cities and accounting the possibility of assessing the risks of chronic diseases. Methodology. The method of numerical calculation of nitrogen dioxide concentration in atmospheric air is based on the solution of three-dimensional impurity transfer equations, which directly comes from a permanently stationary source (industrial enterprise) and a linearly distributed source (highway). The method takes into account the process of chemical transformation of impurities and photolysis in the atmosphere. The numerical model is based on the splitting of model equations and their solution using an implicit difference scheme. Findings. The created software allows conducting computational experiments to calculate the areas of atmospheric air pollution with nitrogen dioxide, taking into account the interaction of impurities coming from various types of pollution sources and meteorological parameters. On the basis of the obtained field of nitrogen dioxide concentration, an assessment of the change in the risk of chronic intoxication associated with atmospheric air pollution with nitrogen dioxide over 50 years was carried out. Originalitys . For the first time the regularities of changes in the level of atmospheric air pollution with nitrogen dioxide have been established with due regard to the mutual influence of emissions from the industrial enterprise and highway and their chemical transformation in the atmosphere. The risk of chronic intoxication has been calculated and its changes have been analyzed with due regard to the interaction of emissions from the industrial enterprise and highway, it leads up to 10% of risk increasing. Practical value. Authors developed a mathematical model and method of numerical calculation. Software created on their base allows obtaining quickly quantitative results necessary in developing the system for monitoring the man-made loaded regions of the city. The obtained patterns of impurities dispersion allow us to estimate the levels of pollution in urban areas of the city by emissions from industrial enterprises and highways. Accounting of the mutual impact of emissions and the calculation of risks of intoxication allows solving environmental problems arising in the development of transport strategy in cities.
