Abstract: Purpose To date, there is a tendency concerning complete transition of main tracks to concrete sleepers The reason for this is the lack of wooden sleepers, their high cost and low lifetime that in the curved track sections with the radius R≤300 m is only 5-7 years (this is 5 times less than the lifetime of concrete sleepers) After introduction of fastening type СКД65-Б it is possible to smoothly expand the track from 0 mm to 14 mm, and to narrow from 0 mm to 28 mm with a step 1 mm At the increased train load on the track of 75…130 kN in a horizontal plane, which is characteristic for the curved track sections R≤300 m the violations in terms of track geometry often take place It results in the frequent surfacings, periodicity of which at the fastening type СКД65-Б is absent for today Therefore the purpose of the article is the development of recommendations concerning maintenance of the track in a plan with the fastening type СКД65-Б Methodology The methodology of research is based on the comparative estimation of influence of the track width change dynamics on the periodicity of surfacing in the plan in the case of the use of fastening type ДО and СКД65-Б Findings With the help of the developed research methodology it was established that the first implementation of adjusting the track width at fastening type ДО is necessary to be executed on the 14 th month and at the fastening type СКД65-Б on the 28 th month of operation Originality It was first described and expressed using the empiric dependence the process of the track width change, and periodicity of its adjusting in the case of the fastening type СКД65-Б use Practical value The developed recommendations will allow in time to execute adjusting of the track width at fastening type СКД65-Б and ensuring the safety of train motion at the same time

Abstract: Purpose . The scientific work is aimed to obtain an analytic expression describing universal magnetic characteristic and enabling to take into account the demagnetizing effect of the armature. On the basis of the universal magnetic characteristics one need to obtain universal expressions for inductive parameters of electric traction machines of direct and pulsating currents. Methodology. A universal magnetic characteristic (UMC) is the dependence of the relative units of the magnetic flux on the magnetomotive force (MMF) of the excitation winding. Since MMF was built for machines operating under load, therefore, in fact it is a dependency on the MMF and on the MMF of the armature reaction. For the calculation of electromechanical characteristics at constant excitation one can use one of the well-known expressions approximating the UMC. However, during modeling the electric traction engine operation in wide ranges of excitation change it is necessary the expression, in which there is a second variable in the form of MMF of the anchor reaction. Such an expression is also necessary to determine the inductive parameters of electric traction engine, to a large extent dependent on the current. The expression for the approximation of the UMC with two variables can be obtained by analyzing the magnetic field distribution in the air gap at the calculated pole arc. Findings . The author obtained expression for approximation of the UMC, which depends on two variables: MMF of excitation and MMF of armature reaction. For a particular mode of excitation weakening it is possible to convert the expression into the function of one variable, for example, the anchor current. Also, the MMF of excitation winding can be the argument. Originality . For the UMC approximation it was proposed a methodology that makes it possible to record into approximating expression the second variable in the form of the anchor reaction MMF. Practical valu e. Due to the presence of speed characteristic or saturation ratio of this electric traction engine, one can determine its inductive parameters in a particular operation mode or to obtain their dependencies on the winding currents for all modes of operation.

Abstract: Purpose. The article is aimed at the development of a methodology for detecting attacks on a computer network. To achieve this goal the following tasks were solved: to develop a methodology for detecting attacks on a computer network based on an ensemble of neural networks using normalized data from the open KDD Cup 99 database; when performing machine training to identify the optimal parameters of the neural network which will provide a sufficiently high level of reliability of detection of intrusions into the computer network. Methodology. As an architectural solution of the attack detection module, a two-level network system is proposed, based on an ensemble of five neural networks of the multilayer perceptron type. The first neural network to determine the category of attack class (DoS, R2L, U2R, Probe) or the fact that there was no attack; other neural networks – to detect the type of attack, if any (each of these four neural networks corresponds to one class of attack and is able to identify types that belong only to this class). Findings. The created software model was used to study the parameters of the neural network configuration 41–1–132–5, which determines the category of the attack class on the computer network. It is determined that the optimal training speed is 0.001. The ADAM algorithm proved to be the best for optimization. The ReLU function is the most suitable activation function for the hidden layer, and the hyperbolic tangent function – for the output layer activation function. Accuracy in test and validation samples was 92.86 % and 91.03 %, respectively. Originality. The developed software model, which uses the Python 3.5 programming language, the integrated development environment PyCharm 2016.3 and the Tensorflow 1.2 framework, makes it possible to detect all types of attacks of DoS, U2R, R2L, Probe classes. Practical value. Graphical dependencies of accuracy of neural networks at various parameters are received: speed of training; activation function; optimization algorithm. The optimal parameters of neural networks have been determined, which will ensure a sufficiently high level of reliability of intrusion detection into a computer network.

Abstract: Purpose . The paper is devoted to the detailed analysis of interrelations at the contact point of friction pair «contact wire – current collector insert». In the work it is necessary: 1) to examine quality of manufacturing of specimens of current collector elements from different manufacturers; 2) to narrow the range of hardness for carbon inserts; 3) to develop a technique of sorting carbon current collector inserts for the structural parameters. Methodology . The executed work was based on the use of the theory of reliability of technical systems and electromechanical processes. Findings . The paper studies the interrelation at the contact point of friction pair «contact wire – current col lector insert», the connection was established between the hardness and electrical resistivity. It is proposed to narrow the range of carbon inserts hardness. The method of sorting coal collector inserts in hardness was developed, and the research has revealed the discrepancy of current collector inserts with existing regulations. It was proposed to equip the pantographs slide with current collector elements using special scheme and to develop a specialized research facility, which will be possible to conduct studies of the interaction of the friction pair «contact wire – current collector insert». Originality . In the course of the study the current collector inserts the sharp structural heterogeneity and fluctuations of the density of the material along the length of the insert were established. The dependence between hardness of inserts and electrical resistivity was established. It was analyzed and concluded about the need to reduce the values of the normal range of hardness. Based on the results of the research, the experimental dependences were obtained and proposed the method for sorting carbon current collector inserts for the structural parameters. Practical value . The obtained results of coal current collector inserts define the need to use method for sorting the coal current collector inserts and the use of a special scheme for equipping pantograph slide. It will allow optimizing their work, knowing the limitations for edges in exploitation and the type of the objective function that should be achieved. The proposed measures can reduce the intensity of the electrical and mechanical wear of materials friction pair «contact wire – current collector inserts». The use of specialized research facility for the study of the friction pair, will allow carrying out the studies to determine the intensity of wear of contact surfaces of the pair of friction and the coefficient of friction at various external factors.

Abstract: Purpose . The aim of this work is to identify dependencies and options to strengthen the roadbed and a weak base by grouting piles. Analysis of software package SCAD to assess the effect of the selected option of strengthening the construction of spatial subgrade models. Methodology . In this paper the method of calculation of the soil mass in the software package SCAD is considered, which is a universal accounting system of finite-element analysis of structures and is focused on solving problems of designing buildings and structures rather complex structure. The finite element method is among the most modern and effective methods for the calculation of structures for various purposes. In the simulation, we get a complete picture of the stress-strain state of the study area, as well as the value of the limit load, rainfall, and so on. The spatial model based on the finite element volume, to better address the real characteristics of the soil mass, meets all the geometric characteristics of size and natural subgrade and the top structure the path that has been adopted in Ukraine. Findings . It was found that the most effective option to strengthen the roadbed, when applying grouting piles at the base of the subgrade and body, is to strengthen the five piles. At the same time there is even strengthen the soil mass at the level of 25 … 30% of the entire depth. However, even with the strengthening of the only two piles at the base of the effect of the strengthening of 14.1%. Established equation is linear and describes the decrease in strain. Taking into account the results of the research can be concluded that the consolidation is proportional to the depth with any number of piles. The dependence of the strain on the number of piles adheres to a polynomial function. Strengthening the bases of the subgrade and body depth also occurs in proportion with any number of piles. Originality. Design scheme generation algorithm for the calculation of the subgrade on a weak basis by finite element method was determined. The selection of strength characteristics of soils and the design parameters for use during the numerical simulation was completed. Load process simulation of the system by rolling stock was grounded. Practical value. Analysis of stress-strain state of «weak base-subgrade» allows you to see the basic laws work the soil and take the necessary measures to enhance the cross-section profile of jet-grouting elements.
