Abstract: Purpose . The scientific paper has a purpose to choose rational technological parameters of the transportation organization process, which would enable the freight train movement with the most efficient train traffic arrangement, the decrease in idle time due to the increased speed of cargo delivery and the increase in the working capacity of the marshalling yard. Methodology . The work presents the technical and operational characteristics of marshalling yards in Europe and Ukraine. The research methods include the station operation analysis, the car traffic flow analysis, analysis of the train sheet, the DU-1 natural sheets upon arrival and departure of trains. Schemes were developed for calculating working capacity of necks, rehandling capacity of marshalling hump, acceptable levels of system loading. Findings . The research resulted in the calculated working (rehandling) capacity of the main elements of the station. Daily loads of marshalling hump and turnout tracks vary significantly by variations and gradations of movement volume. This affects the idle time of trains and, in general, the value of the criterion according to which the optimal technical equipment, optimum interaction of the subsystems and gridiron of the station will be chosen. This criterion must take into account the costs of technical equipment, construction of tracks, locomotives, as well as related operating costs in all cases. Thus, the selection of the optimal interaction should establish the economically viable level of operational reliability of the sub-systems, their technical and track capacity. Originality . By increasing the productivity of train departure channel, marshalling hump and turnout tracks it is possible the thetrain handling processes and reduce the car idle time. Intensification of production processes in marshalling yards provides a reduction in car turnover and in idle time and high economic efficiency of capital investments. The work covers the issues related to improving the efficiency of functioning of marshalling yards in the railway transport reforming conditions. Practical value . Using the methods of determining the rational working (rehandling) capacity of marshalling yards for distribution of train traffic flows between them makes it possible to improve the quality indicators of marshalling yard operation.

Abstract: Purpose. The purpose of the paper is: (1) the definition of perspectives development of Ukrainian railway tourism on the narrow gauge lines of Zakarpattia; 2) technical condition analysis of Borzhava narrow gauge railway for the project to restore the effective functioning of mountain railways track, width 750 mm in the Carpathian region, with the possibility of their accession to the distributed travel network; 3) the study of the modern state and tendencies of development of tourist industry of Ukraine and the passenger economy of national railways; 4) clarification of the role and place of the railway tourism in the transportation system. Methodology . The expert group has carried out field inspections and field investigations of facilities track facilities and passenger infrastructure, rolling stock and ancillary industries involved in the functioning narrow-gauge railway. It was estimated the overall technical condition of the railway track and engineering structures section of narrow-gauge Railways in the Carpathian region. Findings . In the framework of on-site examinations of the expert group found that the objects of tracks, passenger and freight infrastructure, rolling stock and ancillary industries involved in the operation of narrow-gauge Railways are in poor condition and require significant updates and major repairs. But the routes of passenger trains remain fit for participation in the project of development of railway tourism of Ukraine Originality . For the first time the state of the narrow-gauge railway for further implementation of the project on the development of rail tourism in Ukraine was realized. The analysis of foreign experience of organization of railway tourism has been carried out. The modern state and tendencies of development of tourist industry of Ukraine was studied, the factors of competitiveness of rail transport for providing tourist transport in Ukraine were identified and systematized. Practical value . The recovery and effective functioning of mountain railways with a width of 750 mm in the Carpathian region will give an impetus to the tourism development, engineering, construction and energy. At the same time, these actions will allow us to finally implement a scientifically-based effective flood control measures that will protect the population from natural environmental disasters.

Abstract: Мета. На сьогодні існує тенденція з впровадження швидкісного та високошвидкісного руху поїздів на дорогах Укрзалізниці, що потребує підвищення міцності та стійкості конструкції залізничної колії. Одночасно із цим підвищились та розширились вимоги, пред’явлені до проміжних рейкових скріплень. Саме на колійні роботи з утримання та ремонту вузла скріплення припадає від 10 до 18 % трудових витрат під час експлуатації. Одним із основних видів скріплення, які після довготривалих експлуатаційних спостережень увійшли в постійну експлуатацію (5 тис. км) є проміжне скріплення типу КПП-5. Дані попередніх теоретичних досліджень достовірно не давали чітких науково-обґрунтованих відповідей та результатів роботи всього вузла скріплення. Тому метою досліду є розробка та обґрунтування методики проведення теоретичного дослідження роботи вузла скріплення типу КПП-5 із детальною оцінкою місць появи напруженого стану в його елементах від дії рухомого складу. Методика. В основі обґрунтування методики теоретичного дослідження роботи вузла проміжного рейкового скріплення типу КПП-5 (з детальною оцінкою напруженого стану в його проміжних елементах від дії рухомого складу) лежить теорія методу скінченних елементів (МСЕ). Результати. З допомогою застосування теорії МСЕ було встановлено: одним із головних елементів вузла скріплення, які першими сприймають частку величини бічної сили, що передається від дії рухомого складу, є пружні клеми типу КП-5. Аналізуючи отримані дані, встановлено, що значення напружень у прутках клеми з внутрішньої сторони рейкової нитки на 53,1−56 % більше, ніж значення напружень у зовнішній стороні рейкової нитки. Наукова новизна. Розроблена математична модель роботи залізничної колії із проміжним рейковим скріпленням типу КПП-5 під дією рухомого складу для дослідження напруженого стану в елементах вузла скріплення. Дана математична модель дозволяє врахувати фізико-механічні властивості досліджуваних елементів та геометричні умови закріплення, що представляють собою конструктивні та експлуатаційні характеристики роботи всього вузла скріплення в цілому. Практична значимість. Отримані в даній роботі положення та результати скінченно-елементного моделювання дозволяють відобразити та дослідити найбільш імовірні місця появи напруженого стану в елементах скріплення типу КПП-5, в яких в подальшому можуть виникнути пошкодження та дефекти, що впливатиме на стабільність роботи залізничної колії в цілому.

Abstract: Purpose. Determination of improvement ways of admissible speeds of train movement on the difficult sections of а railroad plan. Methodology. Mathematical modeling of the train traffic is used to achieve the purpose of research. The average weighted speed and elevation of outer rail is predicted on this basis. Findings. The case analysis of the speeds determination in curved sections of track was carried out. The above mentioned track sections adversely affect the ride comfort and the intensity of the way disorder, as well as the reasons that contribute to the speed limits traffic on the railways of Ukraine. The technique of performing the calculations for determining the permissible train speeds was developed and tested on real curves of railways, were the accelerated movement of trains was introduced. Proposals on automate calculations in distances and services by way of determining the permissible speeds in curves were developed. Originality. Methodology of determining the permissible motion speeds and elevation of outer rails on the difficult sections of the railway plan was developed. This approach allows you to get a rational decisions on reorganization of plan based on local conditions. Practical value . The developed technique of definition of admissible speeds of motion in curves was implemented as a program DopShvid. The program was tested on real railway sections, where the accelerated train motion was introduced.

Abstract: The paper presents the results of a numerical analysis of force factors in temporary lining at the tunnel construction by New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM). The relevance of the performed research is substantiated by the complexity of the temporary lining operation in the form of arches combination, anchors, and shotcrete that arose during construction of the Beskydskyi tunnel in Ukraine. NATM, used in construction, is associated with a change in the sectional area of the working and a staged installation of temporary lining, which leads to a gradual change in the stress-strain state of the “temporary lining – surrounding massif” system. In turn, this leads to a change in the force factors (bending moments and normal forces) in temporary lining. In this study, a series of finite-element models simulating the stages of rock excavation and installation of lining elements have been developed and analyzed. The obtained results allowed to determine the cardinal change of force factors in temporary lining, depending on the stage of construction. Changing the force factors at different stages of the tunnel construction by the NATM makes it possible to perform an optimal selection for temporary lining location.
