TL;DR: This paper makes the first attempt to introduce a dynamic event-triggering strategy into the design of synchronization controllers for complex dynamical networks for the efficiency of energy utilization and verification of the effectiveness of the proposedynamic event-triggered synchronization control scheme.
Abstract: This paper is concerned with the synchronization control problem for a class of discrete time-delay complex dynamical networks under a dynamic event-triggered mechanism. For the efficiency of energy utilization, we make the first attempt to introduce a dynamic event-triggering strategy into the design of synchronization controllers for complex dynamical networks. A new discrete-time version of the dynamic event-triggering mechanism is proposed in terms of the absolute errors between control input updates. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov functional, the dynamics of each network node combined with the introduced event-triggering mechanism are first analyzed, and a sufficient condition is then provided under which the synchronization error dynamics is exponentially ultimately bounded. Subsequently, a set of the desired synchronization controllers is designed by solving a matrix inequality. Finally, a simulation example is provided to verify the effectiveness of the proposed dynamic event-triggered synchronization control scheme.

TL;DR: A high-power-output textile triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) with 3D orthogonal woven structure is developed for effective biomechanical energy harvesting and active motion signal tracking and a smart dancing blanket is designed to simultaneously convert biomechanicals energy and perceive body movement.
Abstract: The development of wearable and large-area energy-harvesting textiles has received intensive attention due to their promising applications in next-generation wearable functional electronics. However, the limited power outputs of conventional textiles have largely hindered their development. Here, in combination with the stainless steel/polyester fiber blended yarn, the polydimethylsiloxane-coated energy-harvesting yarn, and nonconductive binding yarn, a high-power-output textile triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) with 3D orthogonal woven structure is developed for effective biomechanical energy harvesting and active motion signal tracking. Based on the advanced 3D structural design, the maximum peak power density of 3D textile can reach 263.36 mW m−2 under the tapping frequency of 3 Hz, which is several times more than that of conventional 2D textile TENGs. Besides, its collected power is capable of lighting up a warning indicator, sustainably charging a commercial capacitor, and powering a smart watch. The 3D textile TENG can also be used as a self-powered active motion sensor to constantly monitor the movement signals of human body. Furthermore, a smart dancing blanket is designed to simultaneously convert biomechanical energy and perceive body movement. This work provides a new direction for multifunctional self-powered textiles with potential applications in wearable electronics, home security, and personalized healthcare.

TL;DR: This work provides a straightforward method to prepare flexible films with high conductivity and good mechanical properties, which could be applied in sensors, flexible electrodes, and flexible displays, and opens a new field of potential applications of BC materials.
Abstract: The novel conductive polyaniline/bacterial cellulose (PANI/BC) nanocomposite membranes have been synthesized in situ by oxidative polymerization of aniline with ammonium persulfate as an oxidant and BC as a template. The resulting PANI-coated BC nanofibrils formed a uniform and flexible membrane. It was found that the PANI nanoparticles deposited on the surface of BC connected to form a continuous nanosheath by taking along the BC template, which greatly increases the thermal stability of BC. The content of PANI and the electrical conductivity of composites increased with increasing reaction time from 30 to 90 min, while the conductivity decreased because of the aggregation of PANI particles by further prolonging the reaction time. In addition, the acids remarkably improve the accessibility and reactivity of the hydroxyl groups of BC. The results indicate that the composites exhibit excellent electrical conductivity (the highest value was 5.0 × 10–2 S/cm) and good mechanical properties (Young’s modulus wa...

TL;DR: The results suggest that as-prepared chitosan/silk fibroin (CS/SF) composite nanofibrous membranes could be a promising candidate for wound healing applications.
Abstract: Chitosan, a naturally occurring polysaccharide with abundant resources, has been extensively exploited for various biomedical applications, typically as wound dressings owing to its unique biocompatibility, good biodegradability and excellent antibacterial properties. In this work, composite nanofibrous membranes of chitosan (CS) and silk fibroin (SF) were successfully fabricated by electrospinning. The morphology of electrospun blend nanofibers was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the fiber diameters decreased with the increasing percentage of chitosan. Further, the mechanical test illustrated that the addition of silk fibroin enhanced the mechanical properties of CS/SF nanofibers. The antibacterial activities against Escherichia coli (Gram negative) and Staphylococcus aureus (Gram positive) were evaluated by the turbidity measurement method; and results suggest that the antibacterial effect of composite nanofibers varied on the type of bacteria. Furthermore, the biocompatibility of murine fibroblast on as-prepared nanofibrous membranes was investigated by hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining and MTT assays in vitro, and the membranes were found to promote the cell attachment and proliferation. These results suggest that as-prepared chitosan/silk fibroin (CS/SF) composite nanofibrous membranes could be a promising candidate for wound healing applications.
