TL;DR: The detection of L. monocytogenes with a polyclonal antibody by means of a new subtractive inhibition assay using a BIAcore 3000 biosensor has the potential for the quick and sensitive detection of pathogens with limited sample handling and preparation.

19 May 2015TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss the requirements that arise from having to facilitate applications through distributed multi-cloud platforms, and discuss the need to manage and orchestrate applications through containers as an application packaging mechanism.
Abstract: Containerisation is widely discussed as a lightweight virtualisation solution. Apart from exhibiting benefits over traditional virtual machines in the cloud, containers are especially relevant for Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) clouds to manage and orchestrate applications through containers as an application packaging mechanism. We discuss the requirements that arise from having to facilitate applications through distributed multi-cloud platforms.

TL;DR: In this paper, microstructural characterizations of aluminum matrix composites at two casting temperatures (680 and 850°C) and stirring periods (2 and 6min) were evaluated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and high-resolution transition electron microscope (HRTEM) studies.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the association of diversity practices with an important aspect of workplace well-being, engagement, and found that diversity practices are associated with a trusting climate that, in turn, is positively related to employee engagement.
Abstract: This paper investigates the association of diversity practices with an important aspect of workplace well-being, engagement. It was hypothesized that this association would be mediated by trust climate, and that this mediation relationship would be stronger when employees experienced feelings of inclusion in the workplace. Using a sample of 4,597 health sector employees, results indicated that diversity practices are associated with a trusting climate that, in turn, is positively related to employee engagement. Furthermore, the relationship between diversity practices and trust climate was moderated by inclusion. Theoretical and practical implications of the study are discussed along with recommendations for future research.

TL;DR: A review of methods to reduce phase separation of CPC and the associated constraints, and a review of phase separation mechanisms observed during extrusion of other pastes and the theoretical models used to describe these mechanisms are presented to benefit future attempts to develop injectable calcium phosphate based systems.
