Abstract: The invention relates to a method for commutating an electronically commutated motor, by way of an improved commutation process that becomes effective between the cut-off of a voltage pulse and the switching on of a subsequent voltage pulse. On the basis of the current speed a cut-off time is calculated and once this cut-off time is reached, the power supply from a DC current source to the motor is disrupted. The winding to be switched off is operated in the short-circuit operation via two MOSFET transistors, and the declining current in the winding is monitored. Once the current has reached a reduced value, the winding connections of the winding are temporarily subjected to a high-ohmic voltage before the subsequent voltage pulse starts.

Abstract: An electronically commutated direct current machine, comprising a rotor and a stator, has a stator winding arrangement which can be supplied with power from a direct current source (73, 74) by a full bridge circuit (78). A commutation arrangement (49, 50, 52, 54) for commutating the semiconductor switches (1) (80 to 85) is provided and is configured for switching on one of the semiconductor switches in dependence on at least the position of the rotor (110) at a first bridge branch, respectively and for alternately switching on and off a semiconductor switch that is allocated to the switched on semiconductor switch of the first bridge branch, at a second bridge branch, controlled by a clocking signal (PWM2). The invention also provides an arrangement that is configured for generating a reference clocking signal (PWM1), which controls the duty ratio for the alternate switching on and off of the semiconductor switch that is allocated to the first bridge branch by its intensity. A current limiting arrangement (131, 161) which can be controlled by a current desired value signal (PWM I+; PWM I-) is also provided. When a current defined by the current desired value signal is reached in the direct current machine, said arrangement modifies the reference clocking signal in such a way that the current in the direct current machine is not greater than a limit current that is set by the current desired value signal.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for limiting the current in a direct current motor, acting on a full bridge circuit (137) by which means the stator winding configuration (102) of said motor is supplied with a current. When the current limitation responds, the energy supply from the direct current network to the stator winding configuration (102) is interrupted. The stator winding configuration is then operated essentially in short circuit by means of static switches of the full bridge circuit, and the flowing, decaying current is essentially used to continue to drive the motor. When said current reaches a lower value, the energy supply from the direct current network to the motor is reactivated. Preferably, the effective value of the current flowing to the motor is thus reduced when the current limitation responds. The length of time during which said current flows in the form of blocks of current is then increased in a compensatory manner.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method of regulating the current in a direct current machine with which are associated an arrangement for generating a current target value signal, as well as a PWM generator (FIG. 11: 182) whose output signal (PWM2) is controllable by means of a control signal (u_156) and controls the current in the direct current machine, having the following steps: a) the pulse duty factor of the PWM generator is controlled with the control signal (u_156); b) with the output signal (PWM2) of the PWM generator, the current in the direct current machine is controlled in such a way that a pulsed direct current (i_2; i_2') is obtained in a supply lead thereof; c) a pulsed current--dependant signal (u_2) is derived from this pulsed direct current (i_2; i_2') and is compared to the current target value signal (PHI1); d) as a function of the result of that comparison, the control signal (u_156) for controlling the PWM generator (182) is modified in such a way that the current in the direct current machine is regulated to the desired target value.

The outflow contouring devices enlarge the proportion of uninterrupted air flow relative to the entire flow cross-section of the flow passage.
