TL;DR: In this paper, an arrangement for delivering fluids has a fluid pump (91), which is designed in the manner of a centrifugal pump, having an impeller (90) that is connected to a first permanent magnet (92), and an electronically commutated internal armature motor (70) as the drive.
Abstract: An arrangement for delivering fluids has a fluid pump (91), which is designed in the manner of a centrifugal pump. Said pump (91) has an impeller (90) that is connected to a first permanent magnet (92), and it has an electronically commutated internal armature motor (70) as the drive. Said motor has a stator (68) within which a rotor (60) having a second permanent magnet (64) is rotatably located. The second permanent magnet (64) works together with the first permanent magnet (92) in the manner of a magnetic clutch (93). The arrangement also has a split case (52) that separates the first permanent magnet (92) of the magnetic clutch (93) located within said split case (52) from the second permanent magnet (64) of the internal armature motor (70) located outside of the split case (52) in a fluid-tight manner. The stator (68) of the internal armature motor (70) is located radially outside the magnetic clutch (93). A first axis (54) located on the outside of the split case (52) serves to rotatably support the rotor (60) of the internal armature motor (70).

TL;DR: In this paper, an electronically commutated motor (ECM 21 ) has reduced vulnerability to Electro-Static Discharge (ESD), where the motor has an internal stator ( 50 ) and an external rotor ( 22 ) equipped with a permanent magnet.
Abstract: An electronically commutated motor (ECM 21 ) has reduced vulnerability to Electro-Static Discharge (ESD). The motor has an internal stator ( 50 ) and an external rotor ( 22 ) equipped with a permanent magnet ( 28 ), which rotor is separated by an air gap from the internal stator ( 50 ). TL;DR: In this article, a single-phase or multi-phase supply alternating current (AC) voltage is changed over distribution of a phase angle with respect to instantaneous values (Un') of the AC voltage based on a preset function about a factor.
Abstract: The method involves changing a single-phase or multi-phase supply alternating current (AC) voltage (Un) over distribution of a phase angle with respect to instantaneous values (Un') of the AC voltage based on a preset function about a factor. The changing of the AC voltage is taken place so that an operating voltage (UM) is generatable about the phase angle with distribution of instantaneous values from 0 to 100 percent of the associated instantaneous values of the AC voltage. The AC voltage is reformed into the operating voltage by a changeable control element (6). An independent claim is also included for a control system for reforming a sinusoidal supply alternating current (AC) voltage into an operating voltage for an electric consumer.

TL;DR: In this paper, a fan with improved vibration and noise damping can be achieved by elastically suspending the fan wheel within a first ring formed of hard plastic, the first ring having a tubular extension formed of a softer plastic, and serving to mechanically connect the fan to a surrounding annular carrier part.
Abstract: Due to variations arising during manufacturing, axial fans often are slightly imbalanced, resulting in noise during operation, which is undesirable in many contexts, for example when the fan is used for ventilation purposes in a motor vehicle. A fan with improved vibration and noise damping can be achieved by elastically suspending the fan wheel within a first ring formed of a hard plastic, the first ring having a tubular extension formed of a softer plastic, and serving to mechanically connect the first ring to a surrounding annular carrier part. Optionally, the first ring and extension unit can include a spring element. Preferably, the first ring and tubular extension are produced by a multi-component forming technology such as two-plastic technology. The fan is preferably driven by an electronically commutated motor (ECM).

TL;DR: A novel emf based observer for rotor position and speed estimation that provides very fast starting from pre-produced zero initial position with very good dynamics response to large step torque perturbations.
Abstract: Cost and reliability reasons lead to motion sensorless control of high speed PMSM drives. This paper introduces a novel emf based observer for rotor position and speed estimation that provides very fast starting from pre-produced zero initial position (less than 100 milliseconds from zero to 10 krpm in a 750 W surface PMSM) with very good dynamics response to large step torque perturbations. Implementations and test results fully validate the proposed control solution.

Abstract: The method involves suppressing rotor position signals when the duration of a signal impulse exceeds a preset time period during the operation of electronically commutated motors (110, 112, 114, 116). Unsuppressed rotor position signals (H1-H4) are continuously analyzed during the running of the motors. The current in all stator windings (120, 122, 126, 128, 132, 134, 138, 140) is simultaneously commutated by a current feeding arrangement i.e. n-channel MOSFET (158, 172), when it is analyzed that all permanent magnetic rotors (118, 124, 130, 136) ran through a preset rotor position.
