27 Jun 2006TL;DR: In this article, two magnetic field-dependent analog sensors (248', 248'') are arranged with an angular spacing (PHI) on a printed circuit board (246) outside the bearing tube (238).
Abstract: An electric motor has a stator (224) with a bearing tube (238) of a magnetically transparent material, also a rotor (222) with a rotor shaft (234), which is at least partially mounted in the bearing tube (238), and a magnet ring (250), which is arranged in a rotationally fixed manner on the rotor shaft (234) within the bearing tube (238). To generate rotor position signals in accordance with the rotational position of the magnet ring (250), two magnetic field-dependent analog sensors (248', 248'') are arranged with an angular spacing (PHI) on a printed circuit board (246) outside the bearing tube (238). For processing these rotor position signals to form a signal which indicates the absolute rotational position of the rotor (222), a corresponding device (150) is provided, serving for controlling the motor.

02 Sep 2005TL;DR: In this article, an assembly for transporting fluid, comprising an electronically commutated motor with an external rotor, was described, where the first permanent magnet formed a magnetic coupling for the fluid pump by co-operating with the second permanent magnet.
Abstract: The invention relates to an assembly for transporting fluid, comprising an electronically commutated motor with an external rotor (20). Said motor comprises a stator (22) that is located on a stator support (34) and a rotor (26) that is connected to a first permanent magnet (67), the rotor being rotatably mounted in relation to the stator (22) in a bearing tube (30). The bearing tube (30) is located in at least a partially radial manner inside the stator support. The first permanent magnet (67) is located in an intermediate space between the stator support (34) and the bearing tube (30). A fluid pump (84) has a transport wheel (90) that is rotatably mounted inside a pump housing (86) and that is connected to a second permanent magnet (92). A fluid-tight, magnetically transparent partition (82) is provided between the first and second permanent magnets. The first permanent magnet (67) forms a magnetic coupling for the fluid pump (84) by co-operating with the second permanent magnet (92), said magnetic coupling automatically initiating a rotation of the transport wheel (90) during the rotation of the rotor (26).

14 Aug 2001TL;DR: In this paper, a method of regulating the current in a direct current machine with which are associated an arrangement for generating a current target value signal, as well as a PWM generator (Fig. 11: 182) whose output signal (PWM2) is controllable by means of a control signal (u_156).
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of regulating the current in a direct current machine with which are associated an arrangement for generating a current target value signal, as well as a PWM generator (FIG. 11: 182) whose output signal (PWM2) is controllable by means of a control signal (u_156) and controls the current in the direct current machine, having the following steps: a) the pulse duty factor of the PWM generator is controlled with the control signal (u_156); b) with the output signal (PWM2) of the PWM generator, the current in the direct current machine is controlled in such a way that a pulsed direct current (i_2; i_2') is obtained in a supply lead thereof; c) a pulsed current--dependant signal (u_2) is derived from this pulsed direct current (i_2; i_2') and is compared to the current target value signal (PHI1); d) as a function of the result of that comparison, the control signal (u_156) for controlling the PWM generator (182) is modified in such a way that the current in the direct current machine is regulated to the desired target value.

12 Aug 2009TL;DR: In this article, a system and a method for safe operation of a mass flow sensor in a combustion device, with a gas supply, an air supply, a fan with an electric motor, a burner, and a communication micro processor, was presented.
Abstract: A system and a method for safe operations of a mass flow sensor in a combustion device, with a gas supply, an air supply, a fan with an electric motor, a burner, and a communication micro processor, wherein the mass flow sensor includes a microprocessor used for communications, the communication micro processor communicates with the micro processor of the one mass flow sensor, and the communications include safety-relevant interrogations of the mass flow sensor in order to secure the mass flow sensor.

23 May 2000TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a method for configuring an alarm signal in a motor by means of an input interface, a parameter storage, and the execution of at least one routine of the alarm device provided in the microprocessor.
Abstract: When a motor is defective, e.g. stops running, runs too slow or overheats, many clients demand that an alarm signal be generated, that is, an alarm device included in the motor. In order to configure said alarm signal, the following method is used: at least one parameter for the configuration of the alarm device of the motor is inputted by means of an input interface (80, 82); the at least one parameter is stored in a parameter storage (74; 109); the execution of at least one routine of the alarm device provided in the microprocessor (23) is influenced by said stored parameter or by parameters derived therefrom. The invention also relates to a motor for implementing said method. Said motor makes it possible to easily configure the alarm device according to the actual requirements of a client.
