Abstract: The arrangement has a radial or diagonal fan with an associated d.c. drive motor (32), a digital motor control element (23,24) in the form of a microprocessor or microcontroler and a program associated with control element for controling the motor current. The control program feeds pulsed d.c. current (i2) to the motor in the fan's working revolution rate range so that an essentially constant current exists in the motor in the working range. Independent claims are also included for the following: an arrangement for feeding air to and extracting air from defined points in a building, vehicle, tent and so on, a method of regulating the current in a d.c. motor driving a fan, a method of monitoring a motor-drive fan for bearing damage or similar and a fan for implementing one or more of these methods.
