25 Oct 2011TL;DR: In this article, an axial ventilator wheel with a hollow cylindrical hub and a plurality of axial blades is described, in which the hub is shortened with respect to the axial hub length at its inflow side in a peripheral direction between the blade bases of the adjacent blades by means of recesses around the edges.
Abstract: The invention relates to an axial ventilator wheel (1), comprising a wheel body (2) having a hollow cylindrical hub (4) and a plurality of ventilator blades (6) which are distributed around the circumference and connected to the hub (4). Each ventilator blade (6) extends in an axial direction in the area of a blade base (8) connected to the hub (4), and is inclined in a peripheral direction between an inflow side (10) and an outflow side (12) of the hub (4). The hub (4) is shortened with respect to the axial hub length thereof at its inflow side (10) in a peripheral direction between the blade bases (8) of the adjacent ventilator blades (6), respectively, by means of recesses (16) around the edges.

26 Jul 2013TL;DR: In this paper, a thermodynamic cycle process system consisting of at least two heat exchangers, an EC compressor, and a combination of electronic components such as EC fans, electronic regulator valves and/or EC pumps is described.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thermodynamic cycle process system comprising at least two heat exchangers, an EC compressor, and a combination of electronic components such as EC fans, electronic regulator valves and/or EC pumps. A central supply electronics unit can be connected to an AC voltage source, wherein the electronic components have an integrated power electronics device which produces the PWM operating voltage required for the electronic components. The central supply electronics unit is connected to the individual integrated power electronics devices for the electronic components, and produces the supply voltages required for the respective power electronics devices.

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors compare sinusoidal and trapezoidal permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drives for electric active front steering and compare the performance of the two types of motors.
Abstract: The aim of the study described by the present paper is to compare sinusoidal and trapezoidal permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drives technologies for electric active front steering. The design issues for the motors and explanatory finite elements analysis results are illustrated. The simulations of the control systems and power electronics have been ran and the results are presented and discussed. Prototypes have been built and tested. Experimental results, including comparative trapezoidal and sinusoidal control are presented and commented.
