Abstract: The basic aspects of a damage meso-model with delay effects for laminated composites are presented. The applications concern fracture prediction under severe and multiaxial dynamic loading. In order to illustrate the possibilities and the mechanical significance of the proposed model for the prediction of rupture, especially the role of the delay effect, various simulations of one-dimensional wave propagation are performed. Then, a more complex finite element calculation is presented in order to show the ability of the model to predict the response of a composite structure until complete fracture.

Abstract: We extend the alternating-time temporal logics ATL and ATL * with strategy contexts and memory constraints : the first extension makes strategy quantifiers to not "forget" the strategies being executed by the other players. The second extension allows strategy quantifiers to restrict to memoryless or bounded-memory strategies. We first consider expressiveness issues. We show that our logics can express important properties such as equilibria, and we formally compare them with other similar formalisms ( ATL , ATL *, Game Logic, Strategy Logic, ...). We then address the problem of model-checking for our logics, especially we provide a PSPACE algorithm for the sublogics involving only memoryless strategies and an EXPSPACE algorithm for the bounded-memory case.

Abstract: Dopamine plays a key role in reward behavior, yet the association of drug dependence as a chronic, relapsing disorder with the genes encoding the various dopaminergic receptor subtypes remains difficult to delineate In the context of subsequent genome-wide association (GWAS) research and post-GWAS investigations, we summarize the novel data that link genes encoding molecules involved in the dopaminergic system (dopamine receptors, transporter and enzymes in charge of its metabolism) to drug addiction Recent reports indicate that the heritability of drug addiction should be high enough to allow a significant role for a specific set of genes, and the available genetic studies, which might not be already conclusive because of the heterogeneity of designs, methods and recruited samples, should support the idea of a significant role of at least one gene related to dopaminergic system Evolutionary changes in primates and non-primate animals of genes coding for molecules involved in dopaminergic system highlight why addictive disorders are mainly limited to humans Restricting the analyses to more specific intermediate phenotypes (or endophenotypes) such as attention allocation, stress reactivity, novelty seeking, behavioral disinhibition and impulsivity, instead of the broad addictive disorder concept can be instrumental to identify novel genes associated with these traits in the context of genome-wide studies

Abstract: Many security properties are naturally expressed as indistinguishability between two versions of a protocol. In this paper, we show that computational proofs of indistinguishability can be considerably simplified, for a class of processes that covers most existing protocols. More precisely, we show a soundness theorem, following the line of research launched by Abadi and Rogaway in 2000: computational indistinguishability in presence of an active attacker is implied by the observational equivalence of the corresponding symbolic processes. We prove our result for symmetric encryption, but the same techniques can be applied to other security primitives such as signatures and public-key encryption. The proof requires the introduction of new concepts, which are general and can be reused in other settings.
