TL;DR: The complete genome sequence of a d Dengue virus serotype 4, genotype II strain isolated in 2010 from a patient with classical dengue fever in Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil is reported.
Abstract: Dengue is the most important arboviral disease worldwide. We report the complete genome sequence of a dengue virus serotype 4, genotype II strain isolated in 2010 from a patient with classical dengue fever in Boa Vista, Roraima, Brazil.

TL;DR: Five new combinations are made, five new synonyms are recognized, lectotypes of five species names are designated, and two names, hitherto assigned to Acosmium, are excluded from both that genus and Leptolobium.
Abstract: Morphological studies of Acosmium Schott indicate that the majority of species currently included in the genus should be transferred to Leptolobium Vogel. This paper presents a nomenclatural treatment reflecting reinstatement of the name Leptolobium. Five new combinations are made, five new synonyms are recognized, lectotypes of five species names are designated, and two names, hitherto assigned to Acosmium, are excluded from both that genus and Leptolobium.

TL;DR: There was a positive specific adaptability and interaction of the genotypes with the environments and the lineage CNPA 94773 was the stablest and most adapted to environmental conditions.
Houve adaptabilidade especifica e interacao positiva de genotipos a grupos de ambientes: ITA 90 (Campo Novo dos Parecis, Chapadao do Sul, Sorriso, Itiquira e Sapezal); ITA 96, FMT Fetagri e FMT Saturno (Rondonopolis e Pedra Preta); BRS 197 (Nova Mutum, Primavera do Leste e Campo Verde); BRS FACUAL (Quatro Marcos e Campo Verde); CNPA 94773 (Ponta Pora, Sapezal, Alto Taquari e Lucas do Rio Verde) e BRS Antares (Ponta Pora, Alto Taquari e Lucas do Rio Verde).

TL;DR: The relative growth of the male chelipod and female abdomen of Armases angustipes was studied in order to determine the carapace size of puberty and suggests a greater importance of a large abdomen in females than a strongChelipod in males.
Abstract: The relative growth of the male chelipod and female abdomen of Armases angustipes (Dana, 1852) was studied in order to determine the carapace size of puberty. Also, the age of juvenile crabs in laboratory was established. A total of 537 males and 557 females were analysed and the transition point between mature and immature stages was determined for both sexes. Males attain maturity at 1.00 cm carapace width and females at 1.08 cm. The relative growth of female abdomen was more remarkable than that of the male chelipod, although both are positive allometric. It suggests a greater importance of a large abdomen in females than a strong chelipod in males. Juvenile crabs reared from megalopa stage has five developmental stages before reaching sexual differentiation. This occurs in the sixth juvenile stage, when the intermolt stages become longer. The potential equation between carapace width and accumulated duration of juvenile stages is described as CW = 0,047D0,508.

TL;DR: The findings reaffirm the hyperendemic situation of the state of Roraima and suggest a lower sensitivity of the NS1 test, mainly when DENV-4 is the predominant serotype.
Abstract: Serum samples from 150 NS1-negative (Platelia ELISA) patients presumptively diagnosed with dengue were analyzed by the TaqMan probed real-time reverse transcription PCR (TaqMan qRT-PCR) method. The qRT-PCR positive samples were tested for serotype by semi-nested RT-PCR and a qualitative immunochromatographic assay for IgG and IgM. Molecular detection methods showed 33 (22%) positive samples out of 150 NS1-antigen negative samples. Of these, 72% were collected up to day 2 after the onset of symptoms, when diagnostic sensitivity of NS1-antigen test assays is significantly enhanced. Most of the cases were not characterized as secondary infection. Twenty-eight samples were successfully serotyped, 75% of which for DENV-4, 14% for DENV-2, 7% for DENV-3 and 4% for DENV-1. These findings reaffirm the hyperendemic situation of the state of Roraima and suggest a lower sensitivity of the NS1 test, mainly when DENV-4 is the predominant serotype. Health care providers should therefore be aware of samples tested negative by NS1 antigen assays, especially when clinical symptoms and other laboratory data results show evidence of dengue infection.
