Abstract: A producao de melancia e consolidada em todas as regioes do Brasil. Porem, as informacoes sobre produtividade e qualidade dos frutos, de diferentes cultivares no mesmo ambiente, ainda sao timidas, sobretudo em Roraima, tornando necessaria a realizacao de estudos para suprir essa carencia. Objetivou-se com o presente trabalho avaliar o desempenho agronomico de cultivares de melancia cultivadas nas condicoes do cerrado de Boa Vista, Roraima. O experimento foi desenvolvido em condicoes de campo , entre os meses de dezembro de 2013 e fevereiro de 2014. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o de blocos ao acaso, com seis repeticoes. Os tratamentos consistiram de seis cultivares de melancia, quais foram: Verena, Explore, Elisa, Juliane, Crimson Sweet e Crimson Sweet Super. Avaliaram-se caracteristicas agronomicas e de qualidadedos frutos. Nao houve diferenca entre as cultivares quanto a produtividade, numero de frutos por hectare e numero de frutos com massa entre 6 e 9 kg por hectare. As cultivares diferenciaram-se quanto as caracteristicas fisicas (massa, dimensao e numero de sementes por fruto). Houve diferenca entre as cultivares para todas as caracteristicas quimicas e fisico-quimicas dos frutos. A cultivar Elisa apresentou maior teor de solidos soluveis totais (12,58 oBrix). Os frutos das cultivares Explore e Crimson Sweet Super apresentaram maior relacao entre os teores de solidos soluveis totais e acidez titulavel. Os frutos das cultivares Explore e Elisa apresentaram maior pH. As condicoes edafoclimaticas do cerrado de Boa Vista - RR favorecem a producao e qualidade dos frutos das cultivares avaliadas.

Abstract: O presente estudo objetivou analisar as ementas das disciplinas em Avaliacao Psicologica (AP) de cursos de graduacao do Norte brasileiro. Inicialmente, identificaram-se 36 cursos de Psicologia nesta regiao, sendo que 28 disponibilizaram informacoes sobre suas respectivas matrizes curriculares, observando-se a pluralidade de denominacoes no campo da AP. Ademais, verificou-se que os cursos de graduacao ofertam, em media, 3,82 disciplinas nesta area, sendo que o contato inicial se da a partir do segundo ano do curso. Com relacao ao conteudo das ementas, apenas seis instituicoes a disponibilizaram, sendo tais informacoes analisadas com o software Iramuteq. Os resultados indicaram, principalmente, um processo de formacao de carater tecnicista voltado ao psicodiagnostico, destacando a aplicacao e interpretacao de instrumental psicologico com enfoque em construtos da inteligencia e personalidade. Conclui-se que existe a necessidade de esforcos para alinhar o ensino da avaliacao psicologica no Norte as diretrizes desta area no Brasil.

Abstract: The objective of this work was to isolate and characterize rhizobia from nodules of Centrolobium paraense and to evaluate their symbiotic efficiency. Soil samples collected from four sites of the Roraima Cerrado, Brazil, were used to cultivate C. paraense in order to obtain nodules. Isolates (178) were obtained from 334 nodules after cultivation on medium 79. Twenty-five isolates belonging to six morphological groups were authenticated using Vigna unguiculata and they were characterized by 16S rRNA. Isolates identified as Bradyrhizobium were further characterized using rpoB gene sequencing. A greenhouse experiment was carried out with C. paraense to test the 18 authenticated isolates. Approximately 90% of the isolates grew slowly in medium 79. The 16S rRNA analysis showed that 14 authenticated isolates belong to the genus Bradyrhizobium, and rpoB indicated they constitute different groups compared to previously described species. Only four of the 11 fast-growing isolates nodulated V. unguiculata, two of which belong to Rhizobium, and two to Pleomorphomonas, which was not previously reported as a nodulating genus. The Bradyrhizobium isolates ERR 326, ERR 399, and ERR 435 had the highest symbiotic efficiency on C. paraense and showed a contribution similar to the nitrogen treatment. Centrolobium paraense is able to nodulate with different rhizobium species, some of which have not yet been described.

Abstract: Complexes of formula CuCl2 · 2arg and CuCl2 · 4ala (arg = arginine; ala = alanine) were prepared at room temperature by a solid state route. The metal–amino acid solid state interactions were studied by i.r. spectroscopy and solution calorimetry. For both complexes, participation of the carboxylate group as well as nitrogen in coordination are inferred, based on the i.r. data. For the copper–arginine compound, the calculated thermochemical parameters are: ΔrHm θ = −114.9 ± 1.42 and ΔfHm θ = −1608.3 ± 11.6 kJ mol−1. For copper–alanine compound, a complete set of thermochemical parameters were calculated: ΔrHm θ = −18.0 ± 0.9; ΔfHm θ = −2490.4 ± 4.3; ΔDHm θ = 597.2 ± 17.7; ΔMHm θ = 771.9 ± 18.7; ΔgHm θ = 627.1 ± 22.3 and 〈D〉 (Cu−L) = 156.8 ± 5.7 kJ mol−1. Based on ΔrHm θ and dissolution enthalpy values, a stronger intermolecular solid state interaction can be inferred for the arginine complex, than for the alanine one complex, probably due to the formation of intermolecular hydrogen bonds in the former.
